Aiming at holistic development of students, Hans Raj Mahila
Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar encourages a myriad of activities in the campus which
enhance many aspects of students’ personalities along with their academics. The
students enjoyed the thrilling visit of the star cast of Punjabi Movie
Shakkarpaare organized by Youth Welfare Department under the dynamic leadership
of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The lead roles of the movie Eklavya
Padam, Love Gill, Sardar Sohi and their team were welcomed to the institution
by presenting planters and traditional phulkaris. Eklavya Padam briefed that
Shakkarpaare is a family movie based on a gripping love story. The movie
eternalizes the theme that there are no shortcuts to success. Hard work is the
key which opens the door to real success. Sardar Sohi appreciated the
discipline exhibited by the students of HMV and presented his dialogues to
entertain them. Love Gill also recited songs and dialogues to promote the
movie. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen wished good luck to the team and welcomed them
to the campus. She expressed her delight that Pollywood aims at promoting good
movies based on traditions and cultural values to direct the youth towards the
right direction and keep them connected to their roots. The event was
coordinated by Dr. Anjana Bhatia and Mrs. Kajal Puri. Mrs. Meenakshi Syal, Mrs.
Savita Mahindru, Members of teaching and non-teaching
along with students formed the gracious audience to the event.
