10 Days CATC-58 Camp Concluded at HMV

 






10 days CATC – 58, pre TSC, pre IDC-2022 camp of NCC  concluded at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar with a valedictory ceremony followed by Cultural Evening. Vice President DAV College Managing Committee and Chairman Local Committee Justice (Retd.) Sh. N.K. Sud was the Chief Guest and Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen was the Guest of Honour for the valedictory session. During the cultural evening Group Commander Brig. I.S. Bhalla, NCC Group Headquarters, Jalandhar was the Chief Guest for cultural Evening. They also visited blood donation camp and newly constructed obstacle by CO 2 PB (G) BN, Col. N.P.S. Toor. During the 10 days stay in camp, cadets learned firing, drill, tent pitching, table drill, obstacle etc. To boost sportsman spirit, the cadets underwent many competitions like tug of war, guard of honour, painting, solo song, solo dance, public speaking etc. Guest lectures were organized by experts on traffic awareness, Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCSO) and career opportunities in defense services. Dignitaries gave prizes to the winners of various competitions. HMV won 10 gold medals for best cadet. 1 gold and 1 silver medal in piloting, gold medal in painting, 4 silver medals in table drill and 1 silver medal in solo song. In addition, three cadets of HMV Sakshi, Arpan and Lakshita have been selected to participate in IDC 2022 to be held in Delhi in August 2022. They were honoured with gold medals by Group Commander. Cadet Boby was honoured with gold medal for selection in TSC. Ex cadet SUO Anjali was honoured by Group Commander for artistically decorating the probs to be used in culture of IDC-2022 and extending Guard of Honour to dignitaries. Co. Col. N.P.S. Toor thanked Justice (Retd.) Sh. N.K. Sud and Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen for providing accommodation and training area for the camp. On this occasion ANO Lt. Sonia Mahindru and Air Wing Incharge Mrs. Purnima were also present.
