Under the
able guidance and mentorship of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, Hans
Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized a promotional event, in
collaboration with Radio City 91.9 team. Prominent personalities from Punjabi
Film as well as Music Industry visited the campus to promote their upcoming
movie “Yaar Mera Titliyan Verga” Gippy Grewal, Ms. Tanu and Karamjit Anmol
enthralled the students with their mesmerizing performances. Rupinder Singh
“Gippy Grewal is an Indian actor, singer, film director and producer whose
works span over his single “Phulkari” was very successful in the Punjabi Music
Industry. He made his acting debut in the 2010 movie “Mel Karade Rabba”. He
received “PTC Best Actor Award” in 2011 for his performance in “Jihne Mera Dil
Luteya. He also received the “PIFAA Best Actor Award” in 2012 alongwith Diljeet
Dosanjh. He is owner of Production Houses “Humble Motion Pictures” and “Big
Daddy Films”. He is a famous name in Punjabi Music and is enjoying stardom as a
leading artist and actor in Punjabi Film Industry. Kulraj bhangra boy performed on stage. RJ Sandy and Karan from
Radio City also entertained the students. Kulraj has also performed with Daljit
Dosanjh that is a huge online sensation. The presence of Himanshu and RJ Imran
added color to this gala event. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen congratulated the
organizing team, as such initiatives make students culturally aware and
participative in similar activities. She also gave her best wishes to all the
artists for success of their movie. Mrs. Kuljit Kaur from Punjabi Department
and Mrs. Rama Sharma, Head Mass Communication Department were overall incharges
of this event. Dr. Anjana Bhatia conducted the stage of this vibrant and
musical afternoon.
