Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya in
collaboration with 2 PB (G) BN, NCC Jalandhar under the guidelines of NCC Group
Head Quarters Jalandhar celebrated 75th NCC Day by organizing Blood
Donation and Tree Plantation Drive. More than 450 cadets from different units
of Jalandhar Group alongwith ANO’s and PI Staff participated in the
celebration. On this day 200 saplings were planted and 98 members donated
blood. Group Commander Brig. I.S.Bhalla motivated the cadets to participate in
huge number for this noble cause. Commanding
Officer Col. N.P.S. Toor said that NCC always contributes to needy causes and
makes cadets socially responsible. ADM Officer Major Pratima also said that NCC
shows its commitments and devotion to the community by organizing such drives
and campaigns. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen who herself has donated
blood 23 times motivated the cadets for blood donation. She also congratulated
the cadets and entire NCC Officials on Platinum Jubilee of NCC Day. On this occasion Major Tuli, Lt. Kuldeep
Sharma from 2 PB Boys BN, NCC Jalandhar, Subedar Major D.S. Yelukoti and 12
JCO’s from 2 PB (G) BN, Sgt Vijay from 1 PB Air Sqd, Dr. Gurpinder Kaur and
team from Civil Hospital, Jalandhar were also present. A special thanks to the
support provided by Mr. Jaspreet Singh and Mr. Hitesh Sehgal from HDFC Bank,
Jalandhar. ANO Lt. Sonia Mahindru and CTO Mrs. Purnima arranged and coordinated
the entire event.
