Department of Political Science celebrated Constitution Day at Hans Raj Mahila
Maha Vidyalaya under the motivation and support of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.)
Ajay Sareen. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen extended green welcome to the Chief
Guest Mrs. Aarti Rajput (National President
Women Cell, Human Rights Council) and Mr. Ashwani Kumar (Punjab Head, World
Human Rights Council) along with Mr.
Ajay Yadav, Advocate Mr. Ravi Vinayak, Mr. Surinder Kumar and Mr. Rakesh Bakshi,
Social Worker. The day began with the lighting of the lamp. In her welcome
address, Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen congratulated all on the occasion of
Constitution Day and felt proud of the fact that we belong to a country whose
constitution holds a unique and important place in the world. She urged the
young students to adopt the glorious culture and serve the country living in it
instead of being allured by the illusions of the better lives abroad. She said
we should be aware of our rights as well as perform our duties too. Chief Guest
Mrs. Aarti Rajput felt elated on her visit to the institution and elaborated on
the subject of Human Rights to the students. She also paid a tribute to Dr.
Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the maker of the constitution. On the same note, Mr. Ajay Yadav,
a social worker, expressed his regards and views on Indian Constitution. Red
Arts Group gave a mesmerizing performance through their act “Vehangi” touching
up on the subjects of education unemployment and respect for teachers. The
students took an oath to abide by the constitution. Badge Ceremony of Hostel
representatives was also held on the occasion. The event was organized under
the Coordination of Mrs. Nita Malik, Head of Political Science Department and
Mrs. Meenakshi Syal Coordinator Collegiate School. The event concluded with the
recital of National Anthem. The stage
was hosted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia and students Tarunika, Avleen and Vidhita.
