National Press Day celebrated at HMV

 




The PG Department of Mass Communication and Video Production of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized Guest Lectures on the occasion of National Press Day. The students were given valuable information on various media. In morning session Chief Correspondent of TV News 18 Mr. Pankaj Kapahi and Senior Correspondent Ms. Tanbir Dhaliwal, Hindustan Times Chandigarh were the Resource Persons. Head of Department Mrs. Rama Sharma welcomed them. Mr. Pankaj Kapahi gave valuable tips to students about live reporting. He said that in Live Reporting, Command over language is very important. The confidence of the reporter is very important. Doing Research and Extensive Reading are very important for a live reporter only then he will be able to create a link with his audience. Presence of mind is very essential in live reporting. Mrs. Tanbir Dhaliwal gave tips on Print Media to the students. She said that in reporting listening to your ownself is very important. In Post Lunch session, Mrs. Nidhi Sharma, Director Audio Chaska was the Resource Person. She gave her talk on the topic “Radio : A Live Source of Information”. She said that diction is very important in Radio. She also had breathing exercise session with the students. She gave wonderful information about voice over artist. Principal Prof. Dr.  (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated all on the occasion of National Press Day. She said that Press is a very strong pillar of democratic country like India. She appreciated the efforts of Mrs. Rama Sharma and Ms. Priyanka Jain and Ms. Priya Sharma.
