The seventh
day of NSS camp started with DAV Gaan and NSS song in the premises of Hans Raj
Mahila Maha Vidyalaya Jalandhar. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen
congratulated the entire NSS unit for the successful completion of NSS camp.
NSS volunteers presented the report of activities performed on the previous
day. Programme Officer Dr. Veena Arora said in her address to NSS volunteers
that when we determine to do something in our life then the God himself
involves in our actions and the work is completed without any chaos. NSS
volunteers organized an awareness camp in the village Gakhal and got the
residents aware pertaining to the aftermaths of burning the remains of crops.
Volunteers raised the slogans of “Say No to Burn Straw” and presented their thoughts
regarding the Global Warming and Environmental Issues. After this, NSS
volunteers illuminated their dexterity by organizing multiple competitions such
as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Video Presentation, Street Play-Khula Asmaan, Best out
of the Waste, Poster Making and Poetical Recitation which’s prime motive was to
develop the overall personality of students. Volunteers participated in these
competitions with full zeal and gusto.
Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur and Dr. Meenu Talwar acted as a judge of these
competitions. On the last day of this camp, volunteers who won prizes showed
their experience of camp by presented Power Point Presentations and playing
some memorable videos. Programme officer Dr. Veena Arora congratulated the
winning participants and also inspired them to keep the winning spirit high. On
this occasion Ms. Harmanu, Ms. Bhawna and Mr. Parminder Singh were also
present.
