Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidalaya, Jalandhar organized 13th Voters Day in
collaboration with District Election Office, Jalandhar under the able guidance
of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The event started with the lighting
of lamp. The chief guest of the event were Sh. Narinder Bajwa,, Sh. Amandeep
Singh, SDM Sh. Sukhdev Tehsildar and Mr. Surjeet Lal, District Guidance
Officer. All the guests were welcomed and felicitated with planters. Principal
Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated all on the National Voters Day. She
also advocated all the citizens of India to be awared to our National duties.
Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen expressed her gratitude towards Election Commission
for assigning this event to HMV for consecutively 8th time. ADC Mr.
Narinder Bajwa apprised the younger generation of the importance of Democracy
and encouraged them to get their voter ID made when they become eligible. On
this occasion, the folk song “Voter Jugni” was presented. It was followed by a
song “ Mein Bharat Hoon”, produced by Election Commission of India was
released. Dedicated to Voters Day, a Nukkad Naatak “Vote Pao, Desh Bachao”
was presented. This Nukkad Naatak was prepared under the guidance of Dr. Veena Arora
and Dr. Jyoti Gogia. After this new voters were distributed their voter cards.
In the prize distribution ceremony Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen was awarded appreciation certificate for
conducting Voters Day for consecutively 8 times at HMV. After that, S. Kuldeep
Singh, best BLO, Mr. Ajay Pal Best PRO, Dr. Surjeet Lal, best SVEEP Nodal
Officer, Mr. Tejpal Coordinator SVEEP Icon, Mr. Vivek Joshi excellent voter,
Sh. Parvinder Kumar, Mr. Vivek Kumar, Mr. Harvel best DPR, Mr. Rakesh Bassi and
Mrs. Sangeeta were all awarded appreciation certification and mementos for
their contribution. At the end of the event, Tehsildar Sh. Sukhdev thanked the
audience for participating in the event. On this occasion, a signature campaign
and a selfie corner were also organized. Students were awarded for
participating in various events like Poster Making, Debate Competition, Rangoli
and Essay Writing Competition. The event was organized under the guidance of
the Coordinator Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Mrs. Nita Malik and Mrs. Alka Sharma. The
event concluded with the recitation of National Anthem.
