Dappled
with vibrancy of colours and fun, Fiesta-The Trade Fair-2023 was organized at
Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya under the dynamic guidance of Principal Prof.
Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The event was graced by Mr. Bhushan Sharma, DGM, Circle
Head PNB, Civil Lines, Jalandhar as the Chief Guest along with Dr. Ramesh Arya,
Vice President DAVCMC, New Delhi, Mr. Y.K. Sud, Mr. S.P. Sehdev, Members Local
Committee, Mr. Ram Sharda
and Mr. Ashok Sareen to enhance the glory of the Anand Utsav. The Fiesta began
with Mangal Tilak and lighting of lamp to evoke the blessings of the almighty.
Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen welcomed the guests with planters and gifts prepared
by Departments of Design and Fashion Designing. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen
extended a hearty welcome to the guests with her gracious words and called them
the torch bearers of DAV institutions. She further told that the Trade Fair
serves as a launch pad for the students to begin their journey to success. She
felicitated PG Department of Commerce and Management for organizing the event
which helps to enhance their skills and capabilities. Giving suitable
opportunities and education to girls is the first step towards their empowerment
and HMV continues walking tall in the field. Dr. Ramesh Arya expressed his
excitement by saying that he feels like a young person on watching such energy
and passion in the youth. He motivated the students to keep up the spark of
curiosity and learning. The Chief Guest Mr. Bhushan Sharma iterated that he
felt honoured to be a part of the majestic gale festival and gave best wishes
for the success of the institution. Mr. Y.K. Sud also expressed his good wishes
for the students and advised them to take ample benefit of their gesture of
experiential learning. He also contributed generously in to the Student Welfare
Fund. The Fiesta was declared open by releasing colourful ballons carrying the
name of institution to spread the light of knowledge everywhere. The guests
took a round of the stalls which included Handicraft Haat, Green Corner,
Jewellary Joint, Food Stalls, Grooming Station, Apparel Spot, Knowledge Point,
Selfie Corner and Tambola. They also enjoyed music and dance performance of the
students. The guests of the valedictory session was Philanthropist Sh. Sudhir
Sharma and Advocate Mr. Ashok Paruthi, Dr. S.K. Gautam, Principal Dayanand
Model School and Mr. Rakesh Sharma, Principal Sai Dass A.S. Sr. Sec. School.
The guests enjoyed the thumping beats of the songs by Sarang Vicky, Navjeet
Gill and Shelly B. RJ. Karan, RJ Sandy, RJ Luveena and Mrs. Seema Soni,
Regional Programming Director Punjab-Haryana Radio City added more to the
colours of the festival. The winners of the Kids Modelling Round and Fashion
Show were awarded with Crowns and Gifts. The event was successfully conducted
under the lead of Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dr. Sangeeta Arora, Dr. Veena Arora, Mrs. Meenu Kohli, Dr. Seema Khanna, Dr. Ashmeen
Kaur and Mrs. Navroop. The stage was deftly handled by Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dr.
Ramnita Saini Sharda, Mrs. Ritu Bajaj and Mrs. Beenu Gupta. Principal Dr. Ajay
Sareen congratulated the faculty and staff for organizing the event with great
success.
