Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized DBT-STAR sponsored Workshop on “Preparation of
Standard Solutions” under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs) Ajay
Sareen. The workshop was designed to develop skills in students and all the
laboratory attendants of Science Department to prepare analytical solutions
independently. These skills are highly desired in Industry, Research and
Academia. Dr. Neelam Sharma welcomed the participants and shed the light on
importance of standard solutions and accurate solution preparation methods in
chemistry experiments. Further details of standard solutions, their precise
preparation, various precautions taken and how these impact the experimental
results, were demonstrated by Mrs. Deepshikha, Dr. Vandna Thakur and Miss
Tanisha. Participants actively prepared solutions of different concentrations
under the guidance of faculty of Chemistry Department. Total 40 participants
were benefitted in this workshop. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs) Ajay Sareen
appreciated the efforts of the department.
