organized General Orientation Programme “Deekshaarambh-2023” for UG Sem-I/UG
Diplomas Sem-I students of the institution under the able guidance of Principal
Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The Chief
Guest of the ceremony was Sh. Surendera Seth, Member Local Advisory
Committee. The overall Coordinator of the event was Dean Academic Dr. Seema
Marwaha. Principal Dr. Sareen welcomed the neophytes in the college premises
and apprised them of the activities and achievements of the institution. She
also informed the students that they have got this opportunity to get admission
in one of the prestigious institutions of North India. She wished the students
that they would progress brightly and weave for themselves a colourful future.
She also assured the students that the institution will always extend its help
for the holistic development of the students. She blessed the students for
their bright future. On this occasion, Sh. Surendera Seth also addressed the
students and blessed them for achieving newer heights. Holy threads were tied
on the wrists of the students representing all the faculties. Vidya Jyoti was
also trasferred to the new entrants of the students. The students of UG sem I
also brought plants for the college as their gesture towards clean and green
environment. Madam Principal and the Chief Guest presented Angvastras to the
representatives of UG Sem I students. Dean
Academics Dr. Seema Marwaha introduced the students to the activities of the college
and gave formal introduction of the college. She also provided information
about various courses available in the college. Dean Youth Welfare Mrs. Navroop
Kaur apprised the students of the activities of youth welfare department of the
college. Dr. Ashmeen Kaur IQAC Co-ordinator counselled the students. Mrs. Binoo
Gupta gave information about Student Welfare. Dr. Shallu Batra introduced the students to
the college discipline. While Mr. Jagjit Bhatia gave a brief introduction to placements.
Dr. Anjana Bhatia provided information about entrepreneurship, start-ups and discussed
in detail about innovation. Dr. Veena Arora provided valuable information about
NSS programme and Ms. Sonia Mahendru provided valuable information about NCC.
The chief motive of the orientation programme was to impart knowledge and to
wish students a brighter future. The stage was successfully conducted by Dr.
Anjana Bhatia.
