Freshers’ Party ‘Shubharambh-2023’
was organized for all the UG first year and PG first year students of
Humanities and Skilled Courses in the premises of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya,
Jalandhar. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen commenced the event by lighting
the holy lamp. Followed by the DAV Gaan, Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen, in her
address, welcomed and blessed the rookie students. She motivated the students
to study hard as per the standards of HMV, an Institution with A++ grade.
Further, she motivated the new buds to attain success through determined mind
and by following the honest and true path in life. Moreover, Principal Dr. Ajay
Sareen advised the students to inculcate cultural and moral values in their
life and also wished them for their bright future. Students organized cultural
events and made the environment enthusiastic and full of zest. Young girls
participated in modeling, song singing, traditional dance and Punjabi Bhangra.
Dr. Arvinder Kaur Beri, Mrs. Upma Gupta, Ms. Sukriti Sharma acted the role of
judges for the eve. In the field of modeling contest of UG Classes, Zeenat was
declared Ms. Fresher while Himanshi Sandhu and Ragini were given the title of
first and second runner up in UG modeling respectively. On the other hand, Mandeep
Kaur was declared as the Ms. Fresher in modeling competition from PG Classes while
Manpreet and and Muskan bagged the position of first and second runner up in PG
modeling respectively. Additionally, Km. Jaspreet Kaur was given the title of
Ms. Charming, Km. Kanika Verma was announced as Ms. Punjaban, Km. Prabhpreet Kaur
was declared as Ms. Creative. This beautiful event was organized by Dr. Ramnita
Saini Shardha, Mrs. Kuljit Kaur, Dr. Neeru Bharti Sharma. The stage was
conducted by Mrs. Loveleen Kaur, Mrs. Protima Mander, Dr. Deepti Dheer and
Students of student council Kirman, Sakshi, Yashika and Devangi. Dr. Ramnita
Saini Shardha gave a vote of thanks to all at the end of the event. On this
occasion, Dr.Veena Arora – Incharge of NSS, Mrs. Navroop Kaur-Dean youth
welfare, Dr. Ashmeen Kaur-Coordinator IQAC and Mrs. Urvashi Mishra-Dean
students’ council and faculty from Humanities and Skilled department were also
present. DJ party for the students was also organized by Mr. Ashish Chadha and
Ms. Trisha Sharma.
