Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya celebrated the festival of Rakshabandhan today
in an innovative manner. Under the guidance of the Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.)
Ajay Sareen, the Student Council and Institutional Innovation Cell celebrated
the festival as SHAKTI BANDHAN. On this occasion, Dr. Shikha Bhagat, Joint
Commissioner Municipal Corporation was the Chief Guest. Mr Bilga, Horticultural
Officer was the guest of honour. Dr. Shikha Bhagat tied Shakti
Bandhan thread to Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and
Principal Dr. Sareen tied the same to her. Dr. Shikha Bhagat said that
women can play the most supportive role in each others lives. She congratulated
Principal Dr. Sareen for her innovative thought dedicated to women
empowerment. Principal Dr. Sareen also tied rakhi to Dr. Seema
Marwaha, Dean Academics, all the Faculty Heads, Mrs. Navroop, Dr. Neelam
Sharma, Dr. Sangeeta Arora, Mrs. Meenu Kohli, D.r Rakhi Mehta as well as to
Mrs. Urvashi, Dean Student Council and Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dean Innovations and
Research. The students also tied the thread to each other. Dr Anjana Bhatia,
told that Shakti Bandhan is to encourage women in bonding, supporting, nurturing and

Bandhan signifies our vision of women empowerment and that no woman should ever
feel alone. On this day, Vrikshabandhan was also celebrated. Sacred threads
were tied on trees to signify our bond with trees. Horticultural Officer from
MCJ Mr Bilga, Dean Campus Maitenanace Mr. Gurmeet Singh, Superintendents Mr. Lakhwinder Singg, Mr. Pankaj Jyoti
and Mr. Tarun along with Student
Council of HMV were present on the occasion.
