The
PG Department MCVP of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized a workshop on
“World Radio Day” under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay
Sareen. The Resource Person of the workshop was Mr. Paras Chadha, Radio Jockey
in All India Radio. Head of Mass Communication Department Mrs. Rama Sharma
welcomed him and gave his brief introduction. Mr. Paras addressed the students and said that the world knows you
through your voice in radio. He advised the students to know your capabilities
and set your goals accordingly. He said that in radio pronunciation should be
accurate and one should know the culture of their society. Radio uses language
of everyday use. There are a lot of opportunities in Mass Communication. He
said that words once spoken cannot come back. RJ should not be over confident.
Rather, he/she should be well prepared. Treat mirror as your best friend. An RJ
should be neutral. On this occasion, students Simran, Shivani, Sahibpreet
recited their self composed poems. Mr. Paras shared his personal experiences.
Mrs. Rama Sharma, Head of Department gave vote of thanks. Principal Prof. Dr.
(Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the department for this initiative. Dean Youth
Welfare and Head of Punjabi Department Mrs. Navroop along with Mrs. Rama
Sharma, Ms. Priyanka Jain and Mrs. Priya Sharma honoured him. The workshop was
very fruitful for the students.
