HMV Successfully Hosted Art Eco 2024 Workshop



 

Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya's Visual and Performing Arts and Sciences departments successfully concluded the two-day DBT-sponsored Interdisciplinary International Workshop on the Science of Sustainability, titled "Art Eco 2024." This significant event was held in collaboration with the esteemed Shryansy International Art and Culture organization, India, under the invaluable guidance from Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The workshop, convened by Dean Academics, Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dr. Rakhi Mehta, Faculty Head of Skilled Courses and Dean, Innovation and Research, Dr. Anjana Bhatia, provided a platform for artists to showcase and demonstrate their live artwork in the lush green lawn, surrounded by enthusiastic students. This immersive experience allowed students to glean insights from the techniques employed by the artists, incorporating them into their own artistic endeavours. Distinguished guests  who graced the occasion, included Shryansy Singh Manu, Director of Shryansy International Art and Culture organization; Sirotina Natalia, Director of Tver Art College, Russia; Pygarkina Evegency Anotolievna; Prof. Associate Sandin-Ooi Galina; Zalenia Nadezhda; Selegneva Lidiia; and Indian Artist Kavita Hastir. Principal Dr. Sareen extended a warm welcome to the guests and honored them for their invaluable contributions to the event. She attributed this workshop as a gesture to work together on a global front and realise the dream of women empowerment. Working on the notion of Vasudeva Kutumbkam, HMV is all equipped to make this world a beautiful place to live in. She congratulated the entire team who organised the workshop with a great success. The guests appreciated the efforts put forth by HMV and expressed their wish to work in unison with HMV to preserve traditions and culture of their countries. Two MoUs were signed on the occasion to work in collaboration with each other. "Art Eco 2024" served as a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, fostering collaboration between art and science to promote sustainability. Through innovative artistic expressions and insightful discussions, participants explored the intersection of art and environmental consciousness, paving the way for a more sustainable future. The workshop was attended by around 200 students from 20 different colleges of the region.
