The PG Department of Mathematics of
Hans Raj Mahila MahaVidyalaya organized One day Workshop on “MATLAB TOOLS AND
IT'S APPLICATIONS” under DBT Star Scheme of Colleges with the able guidance of
Principal Prof. Dr.( Mrs.) Ajay Sareen.
The overall Incharge the workshop was Head of Department of Mathematics Dr.
Gagandeep. The first resource person for
the workshop was Dr. Jitendra Kumar, Professor and Head, Department of
Mathematics, IIT Ropar. Prof. Jitendra Kumar gave the lecture on the topic
“MATLAB Tools and it's Applications” which is a high performance software
package for computing and he provided a hands on practical information on the
software. He gave information which is the need of the hour for students who
are dealing with problems of mathematics and require software knowledge for the
same. Principal Prof. Dr.( Mrs.) Ajay
Sareen said that every student of maths should know the application of software
to solve mathematical problems so that their solutions can be found out. Mrs.
Navroop Head of Punjabi Department &
Dean Youth Welfare also congratulated Mathematics department to organize
this workshop. Students of B.Sc Sem II, IV, VI and M.Sc (Mathematics)
participated in this workshop with full enthusiasm. The other faculty members
of Mathematics Department Dr. Deepali, Dr. Gaurav, Ms. Charanjit and Mrs. Geeta
were also present in this workshop.
