HMV Organized a Workshop on Self-Defence

 

Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized a one day workshop on Self Defence dedicated to International Women Day under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. This workshop was organized in collaboration with Women Helpers Organization, Jalandhar. In this Workshop students of Planning Forum, NSS, Dynamic Growth Society, NCC, Red Ribbon Club and Sports participated. Principal Dr. Sareen encouraged the participants and told them about the importance of Women’s Day. On this occasion, Chairman  Women Helpers Organization Mr. Parmeshwari Das, President Advocate Navjot Kaur Rakhra and Legal Advisor Ms. Nikita were also present. Mr. Ganesh and Mr. Parminder Singh from Cobra Karate Centre taught the students about the techniques of Self-Defence. The students were also given some tips about taking care of health. Women Helpers Organization honoured Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen for her achievements. The organization also honoured faculty members of the college which included Dr. Shallu Batra, Head of Economics Department, Mrs. Kuljit Kaur, Dean Holistic Cell, Ms. Sonia Mahendru,  ANO NCC, Mrs. Purnima, Incharge NCC, Ms. Harmanu, Incharge NSS, Dr. Deepali, Coordinator Red Ribbon Club. In this workshop around 200 students participated. On this occasion Mrs. Chandrika and Mr. Parminder Singh were also present.
