Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized magnificent Inter-College
Competition HMV UTSAV under the inspiring leadership of Principal Prof. (Dr.)
Mrs. Ajay Sareen. The sheer scale and grandeur of the event can be measured by
the participation of over 150 plus students from 20 plus institutions across
Punjab. This event was a platform for budding talents to showcase their skills
and boost their self-confidence. The vibrant, youthful energy of the
participants transformed the campus into a colorful spectacle. Principal Dr.
Ajay Sareen commended the diligent efforts of the organizing committee, led by
the convener of the event Dr. Harpreet Singh and the co-convener Mrs. Saloni
Sharma. She emphasized that the event aimed to guide the youth towards their
destinations. Every endeavour of HMV is dedicated to fulfilling its vision and
mission of empowering women and contributing to a better nation. HMV stands as
a paragon of excellence, blending academics with values and tradition with
modernity. The students showcased their talents across ten competitions, which
included Debate Competition, Quiz, Poster Presentation, RJ Hunt, Shutter Bug,
Extempore, Idea Pitching, Ad Mad Show, On the Spot Writing and Software
Development. A panel of esteemed judges presided over the competitions which
included names of Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda, Mrs. Ritu Bajaj, Dr. Rakhi Mehta,
Dr. Shailender Kumar, Dr. Sangeeta Arora, Mrs. Meenu Kohli, Mrs. Navneeta and
Mrs. Saloni Sharma. In Debate Competition, Ms. Harmanpreet Kaur of PCMSD
College for Woman, Jalandhar won first prize, Ms. Priyachi of GNDU College,
Ladowali Road, Jalandhar won second prize and Mr. Akhil Kapoor of City
Institute, Shahpur, Jalandhar won third prize. In Quiz Competition, Khalsa
College, Kapurthala won first prize and GNDU College, Verka won second prize.
In Software Development, LKC, Jalandhar and HMV, Jalandhar won first and second
prize respectively. In Poster Presentation, Ms. Neha of PCMSD College won first
prize, Ms. Bipasha of Doaba College, Jalandhar won second prize and Ms. Srishti
Malhotra of GNDU College, Verka won third prize. In RJ Hunt (Dil Khol Ke Bol),
Mr. Kartik Virdi of LKC,Jalandhar and Ms. Diksha of HMV, Jalandhar won first
and second prize respectively. In Shutter Bug Competition, Ms. Manjot of Kamla
Nehru College, Phagwara and Ms. Deepa of HMV, Jalandhar won first and second
prize respectively. In Extempore, Ms. Richa of NIT, Jalandhar won first prize,
Mr. Akhil Kapoor of City Institute, Shahpur won second prize and Ms. Ritika of
SGGS Khalsa College, Mahilpur won third prize. In Idea Pitching Competition,
Ms. Yashika and Ms. Chhavi of HMV, Jalandhar won first prize and Ms. Khushi and
Ms. Muskan of PCMSD College won second prize. In Ad Mad Show, Trinity College,
Jalandhar and PCMSD College won first and second prize. In On the On the Spot
Writing, Mr. Neeraj Kumar of GNDU College, Jalandhar won first prize, Mr.
Himanshu of GNDU College, Verka won second prize and Ms. Bhawna of HMV,
Jalandhar won third prize. The Overall Trophy was lifted by PCMSD College for
Woman, Jalandhar. Mrs. Saloni Sharma expressed the vote of thanks. During
Valedictory function, the stage was gracefully conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia.
The event concluded amid resounding cheers and celebratory chants from the
victorious participants.
