Inter College Competition 'HMV Utsav' Organized at HMV Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized splendid Inter-College Competition ‘HMV Utsav’ under the able guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Mrs. Ajay Sareen. The sheer scale and grandeur of the event can be measured by the participation of over 100 plus students from 25 plus institutions across Punjab. This event was a platform for budding talents to showcase their skills and boost their self-confidence. The vibrant, youthful energy of the participants transformed the campus into a colorful spectacle. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen commended the diligent efforts of the organizing committee, led by the convener of the event Dr. Harpreet Singh, and co-conveners Dr. Kajal Puri & Dr. Saloni Sharma under the directions of the patron Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dean Academics and the advisor Dr. Sangeeta Arora, Dean Curriculum. She emphasized that the event aimed to guide the youth towards their destinations. Every endeavour of HMV is dedicated to fulfilling its vision and mission of empowering women and contributing to a better nation. HMV stands as a paragon of excellence, blending academics with values and tradition with modernity. The students showcased their talents across six competitions, which included Debate Competition, Poster Presentation, Shutter Bug, Idea Pitching, On the Spot Writing and Software Development. A panel of esteemed judges presided over the competitions which included Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda, Mrs. Ritu Bajaj, Dr. Sangeeta Arora, Mrs. Binoo Gupta, Dr. Navroop Kaur and Dr. Shailendra Kumar. In Debate Competition, Ms. Muskan Kalia and Ms. Harmanpreet Kaur of PCM SD College for Woman, Jalandhar won first prize, Ms. Dilpreet and Ms. Pahul of HMV Jalandhar won second prize, Ms. Kaashika and Ms. Sirsa of LKC Jalandhar won third prize. In Poster Presentation, Ms. Manmeet Kaur of PCM SD College Jalandhar won first prize, Ms. Vanshika of Apeejay Institute of Management & Technology Jalandhar won second prize, and Mr. Manmeet Singh of Doaba College Jalandhar won third prize. In Idea Pitching Competition, Ms. Himanshi and Ms. Urvi Chauhan of PCM SD College Jalandhar won first prize, Mr. Sukhant and Mr. Shubham of GNA University Phagwara won second prize, Mr. Chetan and Mr. Krishna Sharma of GNDU College Ladowali Road Jalandhar won third prize. In Shutter Bug Competition, Mr. Satbir Singh of Doaba College Jalandhar won first prize, Mr. Kartik of GNA University Phagwara won second prize and Mr. Manpreet Singh of DAV College Jalandhar won third prize. In On the Spot Writing, Ms. Naaz of Hindu Kanya College Kapurthala won first prize, Ms. Rohini of HMV won second prize, and Mr. Sahil of DAV Institute of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Jalandhar won third prize. In software development, Ms. Aarti Gupta, Ms. Palak Jagpal, Ms. Jaspreet Kaur of LKC Jalandhar won first prize, Ms. Palak Sharma, Ms. Dhwani, Ms. Sakshi Sharma of HMV Jalandhar won second prize, and Mr. Harman, Mr. Jatin Tasoria, Mr. Anuj of Apeejay Institute of Management & Technology Jalandhar won third prize. The Overall Trophy was lifted by PCM SD College Jalandhar. Dr. Saloni Sharma expressed the vote of thanks. During Valedictory function, the stage was gracefully conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia. The event concluded amid resounding cheers and celebratory chants from the victorious participants.
