International Commerce Day was
celebrated with great enthusiasm at HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School under the
guidance of Principal Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen. The in- charges of the event were
Dr Seema Marwaha, Dena Academics & School Coordinator and Mrs. Arvinder
Kaur, School Co - Coordinator. Thought
-provoking PPT Competition and Commerce Canvas were organised which adjudged
skilfully with the expertise of Mrs Binoo Gupta, Dean Student Welfare &
Associate Professor, PG Department of Commerce and Management. Principal madam
appreciated the efforts of Faculty and students and said that events like
commerce Day are not only a celebration of knowledge but also a platform for
the students to think beyond textbooks and connect with real world business
practices. In PPT Competition, Palak Summan of SSC 2 Commerce attained the
first position and Tania of SSC 2 Commerce grabbed the second position. The
consolation prize was given to Harleen Kaur of SSC 1 commerce. In Commerce
Canvas, the first position was secured by Jahnvi and Ridham of SSC 2 Commerce
and the second position was attained by Ikroop and Furleen Kaur of SSC 2
Humanities. Mrs Binno Gupta wholeheartedly praised the remarkable efforts of
all the students and said that Commerce is not just a stream but it's a vision
that drives economies, builds futures and opens door to innovation. The vote of
thanks was given by Mrs Arvinder Kaur. She thanked principal madam, esteemed judge of the event,
the convenors Mrs Upma Gupta and Ms. Sukriti Sharma and all the students. The
programme was a grand success, inspiring students to develop their skills in
business, finance, and trade practices.
