The seventh and final day of the 7-Day NSS
Camp was marked by reflection, celebration, and gratitude. The valedictory
ceremony was organized on 24 December 2025 under the able guidance, constant
support, and visionary leadership of Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla.The valedictory
ceremony was graced by Principal Prof. Dr. Ekta Khosla as the Chief Guest. Dr.
Navroop, Dean Youth Welfare, Mrs. Kuljeet Kaur, Associate Professor, PG
Department of Punjabi, along with other respected faculty members, were also
present at the event. The programme commenced with the DAV Anthem, followed by
a dignified welcome of the Chief Guest and other esteemed dignitaries. In her
inspiring address, Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla congratulated the entire NSS team
for their commendable work and disciplined conduct. She appreciated the
volunteers for their sincerity, patience, and sense of responsibility. Through
a meaningful story comparing heaven and hell, she emphasized the importance of
teamwork, cooperation, empathy, and collective growth, conveying the message
that true success lies in supporting and uplifting one another. She motivated
the volunteers to remain confident, patient, and focused in life and praised
all the activities and achievements of the camp. Dr. Navroop, in his address, lauded
the efforts of the organizing team and encouraged the students to uphold the
values of NSS in their future endeavors. Thereafter, Ms. Harmanu, NSS In-charge
and Programme Coordinator, presented a detailed report of the seven-day camp,
highlighting the major educational, social, environmental, cultural, and
community-based activities conducted during the camp. She expressed her
heartfelt gratitude to the NSS volunteers, acknowledging their dedication,
discipline, teamwork, and tireless efforts. She rightly remarked that teachers
plan activities, but it is the students who execute them, and the volunteers
proved this through their sincere participation and commitment. She also
thanked all faculty members, staff, village representatives, and supporting officials
who contributed to the success of the camp. Subsequently, volunteers Aashna,
Kashish, Pranjali, and Khyati shared their learnings, personal growth, and
transformative experiences from the camp. This session truly reflected the
spirit of NSS—“Learning through Service.” Following this, a video showcasing
the key activities of the first six days of the camp was screened, offering a
visual glimpse of the various initiatives undertaken. This was followed by the
prize distribution ceremony, where winners of various competitions conducted
during the camp—such as essay writing, speeches, poetry, poster making, and
other activities—were honored with awards. Aashina was awarded the title of
Best Camper for her outstanding participation and dedication. All volunteers
were also given participation certificates in recognition of their hard work
and contributions throughout the camp. The programme concluded with a formal
vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Deepti Dhir, who expressed gratitude to the
Principal, Vice Principal, NSS Coordinator, NSS Programme Officers, faculty
members, volunteers, and all contributors for their support and cooperation.
The valedictory ceremony was attended by Mrs. Satinder Kaur (Associate
Professor, PG Department of Punjabi), Mr. Neeraj Aggarwal (Assistant Professor,
English), Dr. Baljinder Singh (Assistant Professor, Sociology), Dr. Shailender
(Assistant Professor, Fine Arts), Mrs. Sukhwinder Kaur (Associate Professor, PG
Department of Punjabi), Mr. Ashish (Assistant Professor, Multimedia Department),
Ms. Vandana Gupta (Assistant Professor, Home Science), Ms. Pratima (Assistant
Professor, History), along with several other faculty members. The programme
was confidently and gracefully hosted by NSS volunteer Muskan Preet. The
ceremony concluded with the National Anthem. This valedictory ceremony
successfully reflected the spirit of “Yuva Manthan” and left a lasting
impression of service, learning, leadership, and social responsibility among
the volunteers.
