FDP on “Executive Stress and Work-Life Balance” Organized at HMV*

 



A Faculty Development Program (FDP) on the topic _“Executive Stress and Work-Life Balance”_ was successfully organized at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya (HMV), Jalandhar, under the guidance of Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla. The program was conducted in collaboration with MIT World Peace University, Pune, and courtesy of the college’s Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Cell of the college. The event began with the DAV Gaan. As per college tradition, the guests were welcomed by presenting a green planter and a memento. The program commenced with a welcome address by Program Convener and In-charge of the IKS Cell, Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda. She extended a warm welcome to the chief speaker, outlined the program’s agenda, and highlighted the relevance of the topic in the present time. On this occasion, Dean Youth Welfare Dr. Navroop, Dean Innovation & IQAC In-charge Dr. Anjana Bhatia, and Program Co-Convener Dr. Shaveta Chauhan were also present. The chief speaker for the event was Mr. Akash Arvind Homkar, Assistant Professor at MIT-WPU. In his lecture, he elaborated on rising workplace stress, its impacts, and the importance of a balanced lifestyle. He also made participants aware of practical measures for stress management, time management, mental health, and the importance of positive thinking. He also held a practical discussion on “Meditation for Detox and Discipline.” The objective of the program was to motivate teachers to maintain balance between their professional and personal lives and to familiarize them with effective strategies. Faculty members present described the session as highly informative and inspiring. Organized under the guidance of Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla, the program provided teachers with new direction to become more effective and balanced in their work sphere. In her message, Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla said that in today’s competitive and busy life, topics like _“Executive Stress and Work-Life Balance”_ are extremely relevant. She stated that maintaining teachers’ mental and emotional balance is important not only for their personal lives but also impacts the quality of their teaching. The stage was successfully compered by Mrs. Protima Mander. In the end, Program Co-Convener Dr. Shaveta Chauhan proposed the vote of thanks to the chief speaker and expressed commitment to organizing more such enlightening programs in the future.
