A 2-day
workshop on Art of Interviewing was organized at Hans Raj Mahila Maha
Vidyalaya. The workshop was held by Ms.
Ramanpreet Kaur, Director, Shamsheer Communications Pvt. Ltd. for the students
of Diploma in Journalism and Media. The
first day was dedicated to researching for interviews. Ms. Ramanpreet taught students things that
are needed to prepare before the interview, which included collecting
background knowledge, building contacts, preparing questions. She showed them clippings of interviews from
popular shows like Koffee with Karan and Rendezvous with Simmi Grewal. She highlighted the do’s and don’ts of interviewing.
The second
day of the workshop included preparing scripts and show. She involved students in various practical
activities. The students presented their
interview based shows. Principal Dr.
Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj appreciated the efforts of the Mass Communication and
Video Production department and said such exposure is much needed for students,
so they can prepare themselves well for the future. On this occasion, Mrs. Rama Sharma, Head of
the Mass Communication Deptt. and Ms. Chetandeep Kaur were also present.
