The Deptt.
of Mass Communication and Video Production of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya
organized a seminar on Investigative Journalism. The resource person was Mr. Rajeev Bhaskar,
Veteran Journalist PTI and Editor of Punjabtribune.com. He enlightened the students on the essentials
of becoming a journalist, how they can improve their writing skills and
educated on differentiating between news and views. Mr. Rajeev Bhaskar explained the students
about investigative journalism. He said
that mere conducting sting operations or defaming a person does not account for
investigative journalism. In fact, it
requires a good research and ‘nose for news’.
This
seminar was an interactive session in which students asked their queries. Principal Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj
appreciated the efforts of the department.
Mrs. Rama Sharma, Head of the Deptt. thanked the resource person. Stage was conducted by Ms. Chetandeep. The seminar was attended by seminar of
Graduation, Community College and Add on course.
