A seminar on Smart City was organized by Municipal
Corporation at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya.
Mr. Kumar Amit, ADC (D), Jalandhar was the Chief Guest. ADC Mr. Kumar Amit explained the concept of
how to achieve the goal of being a smart city, the various ways to achieve it,
to maintain it and to improve it with time.
He highlighted the ideas through his presentation of how to make the
city well known for its cultural heritage.
Sh. Harinder Pal Singh, Sh. Suresh Kumar, Sh. Saurav Mehra, Sh. Jagdish
Chander, Sh. Jagdeep Mahay and Sh. Rakesh Dhawan also accompanied him. He focussed on converting Burlton Park into a
small but eminent sports city hub. He
cited examples of Korea and Singapore and stated that we too need such
transformation. He guided that such
achievements could be possible only if citizens participate actively. He further requested the students to provide
feedback so that vision of smart city can be achieved. Students participated enthusiastically and
gave multiple suggestions. Mrs. Renuka
Bhatti, Officiating Principal gave heartfelt thanks to the team and assured
full cooperation from the college in completing this project. On this occasion, Dean Holistic Development
Dr. Jasbir Rishi, Dean Discipline Mrs. Neety Sood, Mrs. Kuljeet Kaur and Dr.
Rajiv Kumar were also present. Stage was
conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia.
