The participants of third DST
sponsored Inspire Internship Camp being organized at Hans Raj Mahila Maha
Vidyalaya under the guidance of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen feel blessed
to have interactive sessions with luminaries of intelligence and excellence in
scientific field. On the third day
students were delighted to have Dr. Y.P. Viyogi, a renowned nuclear scientific
as the keynote speaker. Dr. Viyogi is
Ex-Group Head and Raja Ramana Fellow at Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre,
Kolkata. Giving further introduction,
Mrs. Deepshikha told that he is also Ex-Director, Institute
of Physics , Bhubaneswar .
Commending the efforts of the government for organizing this camp, Dr.
Viyogi elaborated on the numerous benefits of Inspire to the students. Speaking on the subject of Demystifying
Science research and scientists he emphasized that this programme introduces
students to working scientists which provides them first hand information on
the subjects. He gave detailed
information about LHC experiments in nuclear Physics in the post-tea session.
In the post lunch session, Mrs. Rakesh Uppal introduced
Dr. A.K. Kamra who has around 150 research publication to his credit. He has received a number of prestigious
awards. Dr. Kamra shed light on the
topic of Atmospheric Sciences. He
detailed the students about the composition of atmosphere and involvement of science
into it. He also told about the effects
of changing environment on human life.
Students also participated in the Essay Writing
competition organized for the purpose.
They put forth a number of questions in the interactive session with Dr.
Y.P. Viyogi.
