About 200 students of NSS department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha
Vidyalaya participated in Voters’ Awareness Campaign at NIT Jalandhar under the
able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. On this occasion, the students also performed
a Nukkad Natak ‘Meri Vote Meri Awaz’ and awakened the youth for casting their
vote in true spirit. The chief guest of
the occasion, Sh. G.S. Khera, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Jalandhar and
Sh. Arpit Shukla, Police Commissioner appreciated the efforts of Nukkad Natak
team. This is worth mentioning that on
Voter’s Awareness Day, 1,03,255 students of Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Kapurthala and
Fatehgarh Sahib made a human chain by holding hands. This is recorded in Limca Book of
Records. Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Mrs. Veena
Arora, Mrs. Alka, Dr. Jivan Devi, Ms. Sukhwinder Kaur and Prabhjot Kaur were
present there.
