World Earth Day was celebrated in the premises of Hans Raj
Mahila Maha Vidyalaya. Principal Prof.
Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen expressed her concern on planet issues and urged the students
to become saviours of the planet. She
stressed that Environment is not external but internal. The polluted rivers, air and soil indicate
toxicity in our blood. On World Earth
Day, the students were made aware about the alarming climate change situations
by showing documentaries, speeches and debates.
A signature campaign was initiated by HMV Visionary Foundation Club and
students pledged to take care of the planet.
Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Incharge of the club said that the humans have the
most important responsibility of taking care of the mother earth because Mother
Earth has given in abundance to the humans.
She stressed that we should minimize the use of AC’s, private cars and
microwave, etc. to minimize the damage done to the environment. On this occasion, Dean Innovation Mrs.
Ramnita Saini Sharda and Dr. Rajiv Kumar also expressed their concern about
global warming.
ਹੰਸ ਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਵਿਦਿਆਲਾ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਿਖੇ ੋਵਰਲਡ ਅਰਥ ਡੇੋ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਅਜੇ ਸਰੀਨ ਨੇ ਪਲੈਨੇਟ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ੍ਹੇ ਵਿਭਿੰਨ ਮੁੱਧਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਵਿਅਕਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਰੱਖਿਅਕ ਬਨਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਬਾਹਰੀ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਂਤਰਿਕ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਵੀ ਸਾਫ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਦੁਸ਼ਿਤ ਨਦਿਆਂ, ਹਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਖੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਦੁਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਦੁਸ਼ਿਤ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹ ਲੈਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਵਰਲਡ ਅਰਥ ਡੇ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਕਲਾਇਮੇਟ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਦਲਦੀਆਂ ਸਥੀਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਡਾਕਯੂਮੇਂਟਰੀ, ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਤੇ ਡਿਬੇਟ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਐਚ.ਐਮ.ਵੀ ਵਿਜ਼ਨਰੀ ਫਾਉਂਡੇਸ਼ਨ ਕਲਬ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹਸਤਾਖਰ ਕੈਂਪੇਨ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸੌਂ ਚੁੱਕੀ। ਕਲਬ ਦੀ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ਼ ਡਾ. ਅੰਜਨਾ ਭਾਟਿਆ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮਨੁੱਖ 'ਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਕੁਝ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਏ.ਸੀ, ਪ੍ਰਾਇਵੇਟ ਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਇਕੋ੍ਰਵੇਵ ਦੀ ਘੱਟ ਤੋਂ ਘੱਟ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨ ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂਕਿ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਘੱਟੋ ਘੱਟ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਹੋਵੇ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਡੀਨ ਇਨੋਵੇਸ਼ਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਰਮਨੀਤਾ ਸੈਨੀ ਸ਼ਾਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਰਾਜੀਵ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਗਲੋਬਲ ਵਾਰਮਿੰਗ ਤੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਵਿਅਕਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਰੱਖੇ।
