Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar has been bestowed
with prestigious award for promoting the cause of women education. The said award entitled Excellent College
Imparting Public Service Programmes in Punjab is given by Communication,
Multimedia and Infrastructure (CMAI) Association of India to the institute for
its numerous achievements in the said field.
HMV is the only college from Punjab to get this coveted award.
This award
was given in 2nd National Punjab Education Summit. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and
Mrs. Meenakshi Syal, Dean Academics also participated in Roundtable Conference
to formulate National Education Policy. All
issues were discussed regarding present education system. Deliberations were held for the change in
curriculum. The main aim should be to
bridge the gap between Industry and Curricula. It was discussed that more
emphasis should be given to skill based courses and practical training i.e.
Internship so that the vision of our Prime Minister i.e, ‘Skill India’ could be
visualized in reality.
The chief
guest of the occasion was Prof. Dr. M.P. Poonia, Vice Chairman, All India
Council for Technical Education and Dr. M.S. Manna, Director AICTE, Prof. P.K.
Tulsi, Director, National Institute of Technical Training and Research,
Chandigarh were Guests of Honour. The
Principal congratulated the members of faculty, staff and students on this
achievement.
ਹੰਸਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਂਵਿਦਿਆਲਾ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਪੱਧਰ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚਾ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਲਈ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਨੂੰ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਰਵਿਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਐਕਸੀਲੇਂਟ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਨਾਲ ਨਵਾਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਕਮਨਿਕੇਸ਼ਨ, ਮਲਟੀਮੀਡਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਨਫਰਾਸਟਰਕਚਰ, ਐਸੋਸਿਅੇਸ਼ਨ ਆਫ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਉਪਲਬਦੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਐਚ.ਐਮ.ਵੀ. ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਇੱਕੋ ਹੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਨਾਲ ਸਨਮਾਨਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਅਵਾਰਡ ਦੂਸਰੀ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਐਜੁਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਸਮਿਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਅਜੈ ਸਰੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਨ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਮਿਨਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਸਿਆਲ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਰਾਉਂਡ ਟੇਬਲ ਕਾਨਫ੍ਰੈਂਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਪਾਲਿਸੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਦੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਸਿਲੇਬਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਦੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਸਤਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਮੰਤਰੀ ਵੱਲੋ ਸਕਿਲ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਤੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਸਕਿਲ ਅਧਾਰਤ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੈਕਟੀਕਲ ਟੈ੍ਰਨਿੰਗ ਕੋਰਸ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਚਲਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਿਲੇਬਸ ਉਦਯੋਗਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਰੂਰਤ ਤੇ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
