Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya Jalandhar’s Readers Club in
collaboration with Mindrain.org organized a Panel Discussion in Conference
Hall. The topic for the panel discussion
was How Much of Fiction is in Fiction. The
panel team included Mr. David W.Mays, War Fiction Writer from America and Mr.
Rahul Saini, Fiction Writer. Principal
Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed the guests with bouquets. According to Mr. David 80% of fiction is
reality. He shared his views about of
his books based on effects of war in Iraq, life of women living in Saudi
Arbia. He highlighted the idea that life
is not perfect. Reading is good but writing
is fun. According to Mr. Rahul Saini,
writing must be layered as reality doesn’t interest people. There should be a balance between reality and
fiction. Ms. Aparna questioned both the
writers about their writings and the purpose behind writing fiction. At the end, the students asked various
questions to the writers. The stage was
conducted by Mrs. Ramnita Saini Sharda.
Mrs. Mamta, HOD English, Mrs. Kranti Wadhawa, Mrs. Archana Kapoor and
other faculty members graced the occasion with their presence.
ਹੰਸ ਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਵਿਦਿਆਲਾ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੇ ਰੀਡਰ ਕਲੱਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿੰਡਰੇਨ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਪੈਨਲ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ‘ਕਥਾ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਕਾਲਪਨਿਕਤਾ ਹੈ’ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਚਰਚਾ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਡੇਵਿਡ, ਡਬਲਯੂ ਮੇਸ (ਵਾਰ ਕਥਾ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਲੇਖਕ, ਅਮੇਰਿਕਾ), ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਸੈਨੀ (ਪੋਪ ਕਥਾ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਲੇਖਕ) ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਅਪਰਣਾ ਬੇਨਰਜੀ (ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰ, ਟ੍ਰਿਬਯੂਨ) ਦਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਅਜੇ ਸਰੀਨ ਨੇ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਡੇਵਿਡ ਜੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਅੱਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਸ਼ਤ ਕਥਾ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਵਾਸਤਵਿਕ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਰਾਕ ਦੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਧੀ ਅਰਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਮੁੱਖ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੱਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ’ ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪੜਨਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਲਿਖਣਾ ਮਨੋਰੰਜਨਾਤਮਕ ਹੈ। ਰਾਹੁਲ ਸੈਨੀ ਜੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕਥਾ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਸਤਵਿਕਤਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਸੰਤੁਲਨ ਬਣਾਏ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ। ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਅਪਰਣਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੇਖਨ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਦਸਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਸਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ।
ਪਰਿਚਰਚਾ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਿਗਿਆਸਾਪੂਰਤਿ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਪੁੱਛੇ। ਮੰਚ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਰਮਨੀਤਾ ਸੈਨੀ ਸ਼ਾਰਦਾ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਮੁੱਖੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਮਮਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਹੌਰ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਕ੍ਰਾਂਤਿ ਵਾਧਵਾ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਅਰਚਨਾ ਕਪੂਰ ਆਦਿ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਰਹੇ।
