The Police Commissionerate Jalandhar organized a conference
in Making Public Places Safe for Women in the premises of Hans Raj Mahila Maha
Vidyalaya. Chief Guest of the occasion
was ADGP (Law & Order) Sh. Rohit Chaudhary.
Dean Academics and Head of Commerce Deptt. Dr. Kanwaldeep Kaur welcomed
him bouquet of flowers. On this
occasion, Police Commissioner Sh. P.K. Sinha IPS, Gurpreet Singh PPS, ADCP-II
Ms. Sudarvizhi IPS, ACP Deepika Singh, Mrs. Parminder Beri, Incharge Sanjeevani
Home, Mrs. Anjana Talwar and Mrs. Anupama Bawa Trustees Nari Niketan were also
present. ADCP Sudarvizhi told about
helpline for protection of women and Shakti Mobile App. She said that more than 5000 cases are
registered in Punjab related to women protection. It is need of the hour that everybody should
feel responsible towards safety. During
interactive session, Police Commissioner Sh.P.K. Sinha, IPS gave answers to the
questions of the students regarding women safety in town. He said that safety of women is their main
aim and we are identifying the areas which are problematic and proper action
will be taken.

Rohit Chaudhary, IPS said that this problem can be better solved with the help
of youth only. Women should feel safe at
public places, this is their aim. Social

ਹੰਸ ਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਲਿਆ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰੇਟ ਜੰਲਧਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਸਾਰਵਜਨਿਕ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਏਡੀਜੀਪੀ (ਲਾੱ ਏਂਡ ਆੱਡਰ) ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਰੋਹਿਤ ਚੌਧਰੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ। ਡੀਨ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਕਾਮਰਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਮੁੱਖੀ ਡਾ. ਕੰਵਲਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਡੀਸ਼ਨਲ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਪੀ.ਕੇ.ਸਿਨਹਾ (ਆਈ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ), ਪੀਪੀਐਸ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਏਡੀਸੀਪੀ-2 ਸੁਧਰ ਵਿਜੀ, ਏਸੀਪੀ ਦੀਪਿਕਾ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸੰਜੀਵਨੀ ਹੋਮ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ਼ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਪਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਬੇਰੀ, ਟ੍ਰਸਟੀ ਨਾਰੀ ਨਿਕੇਤਨ ਅੰਜਨਾ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਨੁਪਮਾ ਬਾਵਾ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ। ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੁਭਾਰੰਭ ਡੀਏਵੀ ਗਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ। ਏਡੀਸੀਪੀ ਸੁਧਰ ਵਿਜੀ ਨੇ ਨੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਬਨਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੇਲਪਲਾਇਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਏਪ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ 50 ਤੋਂ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਕੇਸ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਦਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਲਈ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰੀਏ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਪੀ.ਕੇ. ਸਿਨਹਾ ਨੇ ਇੰਟਰੇਕਟਿਵ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਤ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਡਾ ਮੰਤਵ ਹੈ। ਉਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਮਸਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਥੇ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
ਏਡੀਜੀਪੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਰੋਹਿਤ ਚੌਧਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਯੁਵਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੱਮਸਿਆਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਔਰਤਾਂ ਸਾਰਵਜਨਿਕ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਤ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਨ, ਇਹ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਹੈ। ਸਮਾਜ ਸੇਵਿਕਾ ਪਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਬੇਰੀ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਇੰਟਰਏਕਟਿਵ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੀਨ ਯੂਥ ਵੈਲਫੇਅਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਟਾਫ ਸਚਿਵ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਨਵਰੂਪ, ਡੀਨ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਸੁਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੰਗ, ਡੀਨ ਏਗਜਾਮੀਨੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਜੀਸੀ ਕੋਆਰਡੀਨੇਟਰ ਡਾ. ਏਕਤਾ ਖੋਸਲਾ, ਡੀਨ ਡਿਸੀਪਲਿਨ ਡਾ. ਆਸ਼ਮੀਨ ਕੌਰ, ਡੀਨ ਪਬਲਿਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਮਮਤਾ, ਡੀਨ ਸਟੂਡੇਂਟ ਸਪੋਰਟ ਸੁਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਲੂ ਬੱਤਰਾ, ਡੀਨ ਸਟੂਡੇਂਟ ਕੌਂਸਿਲ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਉਰਵਸ਼ੀ ਮਿਸ਼ਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾੱਨ ਟੀਚਿੰਗ ਸਟਾਫ ਦੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਮਰਜੀਤ ਖੰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਲਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਵਿੱਚ 20 ਤੋਂ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੀਏਵੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਐਸਡੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਕੇਐਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਫਾਰ ਵੂਮੈਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ।
