Environment Club of Hans Raj Mahila
Maha Vidyalaya celebrated Organic Rakhi under the able guidance of
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen.
On this occasion, eco-friendly Rakhis made by tribal women were promoted
for sale. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.)
Ajay Sareen said that such endeavours are a step towards organic and
eco-friendly living. These Rakhis hold
an indigenous seed in it, so it symbolized the environmental conservation along
with strengthening of bonds. . During the celebrations, an eco-friendly
Rakhi making competition was also organized in which Indira Chadha, Twinkle,
Monika and Kanupriya got First, Second and Third prizes respectively. Rakhis made by the students were sent to
soldiers fighting for the nation. Ms.
Shama Sharma, HOD Fine Arts and Mrs. Cheena, HOD Fashion Designing acted as
Judges for the event. Ms. Lipika talked
at length about the hazards associated with GM Crops. Mrs. JyotiKaul, Incharge Environment Club
also supported the cause of locally made organic Rakhis. Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Co-Incharge Environment
Club said that such activities are meant to create awareness regarding
indigenous products so that local farmers and weavers become the
beneficiaries. Dr. Shaveta from
Environment Club also urged the students to go organic. Dean Innovation Mrs. RamnitaSainiSharda also
supported the cause of organic and eco-friendly Rakhis. On this occasion, Mr. Harpreet Singh and Dr.
Jitender Kumar were also present.
ਹੰਸ ਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਵਿਦਿਆਲਿਆ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੇ ਇਨਵਾਇਰਮੇਂਟ ਕਲੱਬ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਅਜੇ ਸਰੀਨ ਦੀ ਸਮੱਰਥ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਆਰਗੇਨਿਕ ਰੱਖੜੀ ਮਨਾਈ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ 'ਤੇ ਆਦਿਵਾਸੀ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਈਕੋ-ਫ੍ਰੈਂਡਲੀ ਰੱਖੜੀ ਵੇਚਨ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਰੱਖੀ ਗਈ। ਮੈਡਮ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਯਤਨ ਆਰਗੇਨਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਇਕੋ-ਫ੍ਰੈਂਡਲੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵੱਲ ਇਹ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਕਦਮ ਹੈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੱਖੜੀਆਂ 'ਚ ਇਕ ਬੀਜ਼ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ ਦੀ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇਕੋ-ਫ੍ਰੈਂਡਲੀ ਰਾਖੀ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਵੀ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੰਦਰਾ ਚੱਡਾ, ਟਵਿੰਕਲ, ਮੋਨਿਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਨੁਪ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਮਵਾਰ: ਪਹਿਲਾ, ਦੂਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜ਼ਾ ਇਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ ਰੱਖੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਲਈ ਲੜਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਫਾਇਨ ਆਰਟਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਮੁਖੀ ਸੁਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਸ਼ਮਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਫੈਸ਼ਨ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਇਨਿੰਗ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਮੁਖੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਚੀਨਾ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਨੇ ਜੱਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਇਨਵਾਇਰਮੇਂਟ ਕਲੱਬ ਦੀ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ਼ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਜੋਤੀ ਕੌਲ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਆਰਗੇਨਿਕ ਰੱਖੜੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੋਤਸਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਡਾ. ਅੰਜਨਾ ਭਾਟਿਆ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਸਵਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਉਤਪਾਦਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਕਿਸਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਨਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਭ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੇ। ਡਾ. ਸ਼ਵੇਤਾ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਗੇਨਿਕ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਪੇ੍ਰਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਡੀਨ ਇਨੋਵੇਸ਼ਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਰਮਨੀਤਾ ਸੈਨੀ ਸ਼ਾਰਦਾ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੋਤਸਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
