Lohri Shagna Di celebration at HMV

PG Punjabi Department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized Lohri Shagna Di celebration under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen.  The Chief Guest of the occasion was founder of Punjab Bhawan in Canada.  Guest of Honour was Mr. Avtar Henry (Junior), M.L.A., Editor Punjabi Jagran Mr. Varinder Walia and Mr. Kulwinder Singh Gakhal.  Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, HOD Punjabi Deptt. Mrs. Kawaljit Kaur and Mrs. Navroop Kaur welcomed the guests.  Principal Dr. Sareen encouraged the students to celebrate Lohri leaving behind the difference of Boy and Girl.  All the guests along with staff members celebrated Lohri with full enthusiasm.  The students of Govt. Sr. Sec. School Basti Mithu were also present for the celebration and they were given gifts.  M.L.A. Mr. Avtar Henry congratulated on the occasion of Lohri and encouraged to adopt humbleness in life.  Mr. Sukhi Bath encouraged the students and said that there should be no discrimination in society.  He said that living for others is our real identity.  The students of Music and Dance department presented folk songs and folk dance.  Associate Professor Mrs. Navroop Kaur thanked all the guests.  The stage was conducted by Mrs. Veena Arora and Dr. Anjana Bhatia.  On this occasion, all the members of teaching and non-teaching staff were present. 

ਹੰਸ ਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਵਿਦਿਆਲਾ, ਜ¦ਧਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਲੋਂ ‘ਲੋਹੜੀ ਧੀਆਂ ਦੀ' ਸਮਾਗਮ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪੋ. ਡਾ. ਸੀਮਤੀ ਅਜੇ ਸਰੀਨ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਯੋਗ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਅਧੀਨ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।। ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਸੁੱਖੀ ਬਾਠ (ਕੈਨੇਡਾ-ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਰਤਾ), ਸੀ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਹੈਨਰੀ ਜੂਨਿਅਰ (ਵਿਧਾਇਕ), ਸੀ ਵਰਿੰਦਰ ਵਾਲਿਆ (ਮੁੱਖ ਸੰਪਾਦਕ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਜਾਗਰਣ), ਸੀ ਕੁਲਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਗਾਖਲ ਅਤੇ ਦੀਆ (ਛੋਟੀ ਬੱਚੀ) ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ।। ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੇ ਆਰੰਭ 'ਚ ਪਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਸਰੀਨ, ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਸੀਮਤੀ ਕੰਵਲਜੀਤ ਕÏਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੀਮਤੀ ਨਵਰੂਪ ਕÏਰ ਨੇ ਆਏ ਹੋਏ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਆਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੇ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਚਿੰਨ• ਭੇਂਟ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ।ਸੀਮਤੀ ਵੀਨਾ ਅਰੋੜਾ ਨੇ ਮੋਹ ਭਿੱਜੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ‘ਜੀ ਆਇਆ' ਆਖਿਆ।  ਮੈਡਮ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਨੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਨੂੰਨਵÄ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਮੁੰਡੇ ਕੁੜੀ ਦੇ ਭੇਦਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਗਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਲੋਹੜੀ ਨੂੰਮਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਆ।। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਮੂਹ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਲੋਹੜੀ ਬਾਲਣ ਦੀ ਰਸਮ ਅਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ।। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਸੀ. ਸੈ. ਸਕੂਲ, ਬਸਤੀ ਮਿੱਠੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੋਹੜੀ ਮਨਾਈ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਹੜੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਗਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਤੋਹਫੇ ਭੇਂਟ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।। 

ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸੀ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਹੈਨਰੀ ਜੂਨਿਅਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਲੋਹੜੀ ਦੀ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਨਿਮਰਤਾ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪੇਰਨਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

ਲੋਹੜੀ ਦੀ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਸੁੱਖੀ ਬਾਠ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿਚਲੇ ਭੇਦ-ਭਾਵ ਤੋਂ ਉਪਰ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਈ ਪੇਰਿਆ।  ਇਸਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੂਸਰਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਜਿਉਣ ਨੂੰਇਨਸਾਨ ਦੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਪਛਾਣ ਦੱਸਿਆ।

ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦÏਰਾਨ ਸੰਗੀਤ ਅਤੇ ਨ੍ਰਿਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕ ਗੀਤ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਨਾਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਕੇ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਨੂੰਹੋਰ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ਨੁਮਾ ਕੀਤਾ।। ਸਮਾਗਮ 'ਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋ  ਕੇ ਭਰਵਾਂ ਹੁੰਗਾਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ, ਟੀਚਿੰਗ ਤੇ ਨਾੱਨ ਟੀਚਿੰਗ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਹੋਏ।। ਲੋਹੜੀ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਮੌਕੇ ਸੀਮਤੀ ਨਵਰੂਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਆਏ ਹੋਏ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਤਹਿ ਦਿਲੋਂ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ।  ਮੰਚ ਦਾ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਸੀਮਤੀ ਵੀਨਾ ਅਰੋੜਾ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਅੰਜਨਾ ਭਾਟਿਆ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ।
