The PG department of Punjabi of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized National Seminar on Amrita Pritam: Golden Memories under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The chief guest of the occasion was Padamshri Surjit Patar. The seminar started with lighting of the lamp and DAV Gaan. Head of the department Mrs. Navroop Kaur welcomed the guests. The seminar was presided over by Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. She welcomed the guests with phulkari and planters. Principal Dr. Sareen said that our precious Punjabi literature should be translated in Hindi and English language that everybody can read that literature.
Secretary DAVCMC Sh. B.K. Mittal appreciated the efforts of Punjabi department and congratulated the college authorities. Chief guest Padamshri Surjit Patar said that Amrita Pritam is a very bright name in the world of literature. He said that Punjabi is not the language of five rivers rather it is the language of seven oceans now. We, as Punjabis should be creative and should not feel inferior to anyone. We should not run after brands rather we should be recognized as brands in the world. Vote of thanks was presented by Secretary DAVCMC Sh. Arvind Ghai.
The seminar had three sessions. In the first session, Mrs. Amia Kunwar, Biba Balwant and Dr. Ravinder shred their memories of the times spent with Amrita Pritam. The students recited the poems of Amrita Pritam. Mr. Parduman from Music department sang a song of Amrita Pritam. In the second session, a PPT made by Punjabi department was shown. This session was presided over by Dr. Lakhwinder Johal. PG department of Mass Communication and Video Production also presented a film on Amrita Pritam. In addition, a documentary film made by Dr. Harjit Singh, Film Director and Producer was also shown which presented the life of Amrita and Imroj. In the third session Poetry Darbaar was also organized in which Sukhwinder Amrit, Anu Bala, Bhupinder Kaur Preet, Sarabjeet Kaur Jass, Mrs. Navroop Kaur, Mrs. Kuljit Kaur, Mrs. Veena Arora, Dr. Nidhi Bal and Dr. Sandeep Kaur recited their poems.
The students made posters of Amrita Pritam and Fine Arts department organized an Art Exhibition on this occasion. Secretary, DAVCMC Sh. B.K. Mittal, Sh. Arvind Ghai, Secretary, DAVCMC and Member Local Committee, Former Director World Punjabi Centre, Patiala Dr. Deepak Manmohan and Secretary General Punjab Kala Parishad Dr. Lakhwinder Johal were also present. Stage was conducted by Mrs. Kuljit Kaur. On this occasion, Dr. Sushma Chawla, Member Local Committee, Mrs. Rama Sharma, HOD Mass Comm. department, Dr. Rakhi Mehta, Mrs. Satinder Kaur, Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur, Mrs. Poonam Sharma, Ms. Manpreet Kaur, Ms. Prabhjot Kaur, Ms. Harmanpreet Kaur, Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Mrs. Jyoti Sehgal, Dr. Nidhi Bal and others were also present.
ਹੰਸ ਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਮੁਕੱਦਸ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ³ਜਾਬ ਕਲਾ ਪਰਿਸ਼ਦ, ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਲੋਂ ਹੰਸ ਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਲਾ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੇ ਪੋਸਟ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਪ³ਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਅਜੇ ਸਰੀਨ ਦੀ ਯੋਗ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ : ਸੁਨਹਿਰੀ ਯਾਦਾਂ ਇਕ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਂ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਸੈਮੀਨਾਰ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਪਦਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਪਾਤਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਗਾਜ਼ ਜੋਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਜਵਲਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਡੀ.ਏ.ਵੀ. ਗਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਨਵਰੂਪ ਕੌਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਵਾਗਤੀ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਏ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਡਾ. ਅਜੇ ਸਰੀਨ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਮੈਡਮ ਨੇ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੁਲਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਲਾਂਟਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਜੀ ਆਇਆ ਕਿਹਾ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੀ ਪ³ਜਾਬੀ ਦੇ ਅਨਮੋਲ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਵਾਦ ਪ³ਜਾਬੀ ਤੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ 'ਚ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਸਾਡਾ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਸਕਣ। ਡੀ.ਏ.ਵੀ. ਮੈਨੇਜਿੰਗ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਸੈ´ੇਟਰੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬੀ.ਕੇ. ਮਿੱਤਲ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਪਦਮ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਪਾਤਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ 'ਚ ਅਮ੍ਰਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸੱਭ ਤੋਂ ਚਮਕਦਾਰ ਨਾਂ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪ³ਜਾਬੀ ਹੁਣ ਪ³ਜ ਦਰਿਆਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਹÄ ਸੱਤ ਸਮੁੰਦਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਹੈ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪ³ਜਾਬੀ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਤੇ ਖੁਦ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਘੱਟ ਨਹÄ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਡੀ.ਏ.ਵੀ. ਮੈਨੇਜਿੰਗ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਘਈ ਨੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਸ਼ੈਸਨ ਉਲੀਕੇ ਗਏ। ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਚ ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਅਮੀਆਂ ਕੁੰਵਰ, ਬੀਬਾ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਝਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਯਾਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰੋਤਿਆਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਵਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਗੀਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਪ੍ਰਦੂਮਨ ਨੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਮੈਂ ਤਿੜਕੇ ਘੜੇ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੋਤਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਨੋਰੰਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ: ਯਾਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਪ³ਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੀ.ਪੀ.ਟੀ. ਦਿਖਾਈ ਗਈ। ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਲੀਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਲੋਂ ਲਘੂ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਗਈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਹਿਮ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਡਾ. ਹਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ (ਫਿਲਮ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਮਾਤਾ) ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜੀ ਫਿਲਮ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਗਈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਮਰੋਜ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਆਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਤੀਸਰੇ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਚ ਕਵਿੰਤਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਦਾ ਅਯਾੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਮੁਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ, ਅਨੂੰ ਬਾਲਾ, ਭੁਪਿ³ਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ, ਸਰਬਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਜਸ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਨਵਰੂਪ ਕੌਰ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਕੁਲਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਵੀਨਾ ਅਰੋੜਾ, ਡਾ. ਨਿਧੀ ਬੱਲ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਸੰਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕਵਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗਣ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਦੇ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਫਾਈਨ ਆਰਟਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨੀ ਲਗਾਈ ਗਈ। ਜਿਸ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬੀ.ਕੇ. ਮਿੱਤਲ (ਸਕੱਤਰ, ਡੀ.ਏ.ਵੀ. ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ), ਡਾ. ਦੀਪਕ ਮਨਮੋਹਨ (ਸਾਬਕਾ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਵਰਡਲ ਪ³ਜਾਬੀ ਸੈਂਟਰ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ) ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਲਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਜੌਹਲ (ਸਕੱਤਰ ਜਨਰਲ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਲਾ ਪਰਿਸ਼ਦ) ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਲੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮੰਚ ਦਾ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਕੁਲਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਉਤੇ ਪ³ਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਜਸਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ, ਪੂਨਮਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਡਾ. ਸੰਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਪ੍ਰਭਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਹਰਮਨਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਸਨ।
