The second and third day of DST sponsored 6th INSPIRE
Internship Camp organised by Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya remained eventful
with technical and practical sessions. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen
welcomed the resource persons Dr. Venus Mithu, GNDU Amritsar, Dr. Subarata
Maity, IISER Mohali, Dr. Harsh Manchanda, NIT Jalandhar, Dr. I.S. Dua, Punjab
University, Chandigarh, Dr. Rashmi Vij, Principal Police DAV School, Mr.
Jasbeer Lal, Principal Meritorious School and Mrs. Anita Nanda Principal Lala
Jagat Narain DAV School with green planters.
Offering a formal welcome Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen
highlighted the purpose of organizing the Internship Camp to trigger and spark
scientific curiosity in students. She advised the participants to focus on
their goals and lead life righteously. It is crucial to take the right decision
at the right time.
Dr. Vinus Mithu, GNDU Amritsar delivered an informative presentation
on Chemical Sciences. He emphasized on the need of bringing scientific revoluations
to make the world a better place to live. Similarly Dr. Subarata Maity focused
on the role of science in the daily life and transformation of matter to living
systems. Dr. Harsh Manchanda Associate Professor NIT Jalandhar discussed
different approaches to study science.
Dr. I.S. Dua held an interactive session on “Appreciate Life Through
Science” and talked about evoluation of man.
The guest of honour Dr. Rashmi Vij, Principal Police DAV School
motivated the students to be patient, dedicated, thoughtful result oriented and
strivers.
Participants enthusiastically attended parallel practical sessions on
Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Biotechnology. Students tested their writing
skills by participating in Innovative Idea writing competition.
The camp co-ordinator Dr. Harpreet Singh, members of Core Committee,
Dr. Neelam Sharma, Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dr. Ekta Khosla, Mrs. Saloni Sharma, Dr.
Anjana Bhatia, Mrs. Gagandeep and Dr. Jitender Kumar were also present on the
occasion. The stage was conducted by Dr. Neelam Sharma and Mrs. Deepshikha.
