With the pious chants of mantras,
Havan Yajna was performed in the Yajnashala of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya
to mark the commencement of the new semester and seek the blessings of the
Almighty. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed the Chief Guest
Justice (Retd.) Sh. N.K. Sud (Vice President DAVCMC & Chairman Local
Committee), Sh. S.P. Sehdev (Member Local Committee), Principal Smt. Anita
Nanda, the faculty members, non-teaching staff and the supporting staff on the
auspicious day.
Conveying the blessings of Padamshree
Dr. Punam Suri President DAVCMC and esteemed Mrs. Mani Suri she prayed for the
well being of the HMV family. She encouraged the august audience to make a
resolution to look for the positive qualities in others and imbibe the same in
their own personalities. Calling humans the best creation of God she motivated
the members to prove true to this idea. She firmly held that success can be
achieved with the combined efforts of every member. Justice (Retd.) Sh. N.K.
Sud appreciated the hard work and dedication of the members and wished the best
for achieving the heights of glory.
The occasion also witnessed the
release of HMV Planner and Calender deftly prepared by Mr. Sushil Kumar, Dr.
Ramnita Saini Sharda, Dr. Anjana Bhatia and Mr. Vidhu Vohra. The members of the
non-teaching and supporting staff whose birthday falls in the month of January
were presented with gifts. Dean Academics Dr. Kanwaldeep Kaur, Dean Examination
Dr. Ekta Khosla, Dean Vedic Studies Mrs. Mamta, Office Supdt. Mr. Amarjit
Khanna attended the Havan alongwith faculty members and non-teaching staff. The
stage was masterly hosted by Dr. Meenu Talwar. The event concluded with the
recital of Shanti Paath.
