International Workshop on Innovative Approaches to Teaching organized at HMV


An International workshop on Innovative Approaches to Teaching was organized by the Department of History under the aegis of Internal Quality Assurance Cell at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya. Mrs. Smriti Vasishtha, Academic Director and Head Teacher Trainer, European Union Program Czech Republic was the facilitation of the workshop. She was duly welcomed in the college by Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, Mrs. Navroop and Dr. Ekta Khosla by presenting a planter and a phulkari. Speaking on the occasion Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen stressed upon the need to adopt the teaching methodologies to the need of the students.
Mrs. Smriti elaborated on the techniques to enhance the teaching skills and make the students more responsible for their learning. Through interactive sessions and activities, she emphasized on the importance of task based learning. The purpose of the workshop was to make the teaching process interesting by involving the students and going beyond the traditional pedagogies. The workshop witnessed a keen participation of the faculty members.
Towards the conclusion Mrs. Navroop presented a vote of thanks. The stage was hosted by Mrs. Protima.
