The NSS Unit of Hans Raj
Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organised the valedictory ceremony of NSS Camp under the
guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The Chief Guest of the occasion
and SDM (IAS) Mr. Rahul Sindhu, Mr. Surjit Lal was also present there. The
ceremony started with lighting of the lamp, DAV Gaan and NSS Gaan. Principal
Dr. Sareen presented planter to the Chief Guest and welcomed them. Program
officer Dr. Anjana Bhatia gave a brief report of Seven day NSS Camp. She
thanked Principal Dr. Sareen for positive encouragement. Principal Dr. Sareen
addressed the students and encouraged them for doing social work. She also gave
brief introduction of Mr. Rahul Sindhu. Dr. Sareen said we should have humane
attitude towards all. She said that our President DAVCMC, Arya Rattan Dr.
Poonam Suri also gave message to “Become Arya” and encouraged to work for
humanity. We should come out of our comfort zone only then we can become winners.
She blessed the volunteers for successful camp.
Chief guest IAS Rahul
Sindhu (SDM) also addressed the volunteers and said that HMV is a prominent
institution of the city which is working not only in academic area but active
in social sphere also. The slogan of “Not me, but you” also gives you positive
energy and gives a shine to your personality.
The students presented a
PPT of 7 days camp. Students were honored also. NSS secretary Bhavya Middha,
Joint Secretary Gurkirat Kaur and Asst. Secretary Ishpreet Kaur were also
honoured for their work. They told that during camp, NSS volunteers also
visited Apahaj Ashram and distributed food items & cloths there. They spend
quality time with the aged persons. On this occasion, members of NSS Unit Mrs.
Alka, Ms. Harman & Mrs. Pawan Kumari were also present.
