Sakshi
Badola, student of M.A. (JMC) Sem I of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya won 1st
prize in Radio Feature Competition organized by Pushpa Gujral Science City,
Kapurthala. Around 20 students of PG Department of Mass Communication and Video
Production also participated in a workshop on Science Journalism organized
there only. Asstt. Prof. Ms. Radhika and Ms. Gaytri accompanied them. The
objective of this workshop was to enhance the skills of budding journalists in
Science Communication. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated Ms.
Sakshi Badola for this achievement. She told that Sakshi was honoured with a
trophy, certificate and cash prize of Rs. 3000/-. Head of Department Dr. Rama
Sharma apprised that the theme of the competition was “India’s Achievement in
Space”. The duration of the radio feature was 3-4 minutes. Many Colleges and
Universities of Punjab participated in this conference and feature by Sakshi
Badola was adjudged the best. On this occasion Asstt. Prof. Mrs. Jyoti Sehgal was
also present.
