A Fresher Party ‘Raunak-e-Aamad -
2025’ was organized for all the UG, PG and Diploma 1st year students of
Commerce, Science and Computer Science at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya
Jalandhar. The overall incharges of the event were Dr. Ravinder Mohan Jindal,
Dr. Jatinder Kumar & Dr. Jaspreet Kaur. The chief guest of the event
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen was welcomed with green planter by Dr.
Seema Marwaha, Dean Academics, Dr. Urvashi Mishra, Dean Student Council and the
incharges of the event. The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp. It
was followed by DAV Gaan. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen, in her address, welcomed
and blessed the rookie students. She motivated the students to study hard as
per the standards of HMV, an Institution with A++ grade. Further, she motivated
the new buds to attain success through determined mind and by following the
honest and true path in life. Moreover, Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen advised the
students to inculcate cultural and moral values in their life. She encouraged
the students to complete their tasks timely and not to linger on things along
with maintaining regularity in studies. She stated that HMV aims to make its
students globally competent, empowered and good humans by leading them towards
excellence in academics as well as inculcating values and ethics in them. She
wished them best of health and luck for success in their lives. Students
organized cultural events and made the environment enthusiastic and full of
zest. Young girls participated in modeling, song singing, traditional dance,
Punjabi Bhangra, guitars and catwalk during the modelling rounds. Dr. Meenu
Talwar, Mrs, Upma Gupta, Ms. Sukriti Sharma and Ms. Vandana Sethi acted the role
of judges for the eve. In the field of modeling contest of UG Classes, Ms
Kamalpreet Kaur was declared Ms. HMV while Ms. Muskan and Konika were given the
title of first and second runner up in UG modeling respectively. On the other
hand, Ms. Jaspreet was declared as the Ms. HMV
in modeling competition from PG Classes, while Lovepreet and Kriti bagged the
position of first and second runner up in PG modeling respectively.
Additionally, Ms. Sneha was given the title of Ms. Technophile, Ms. Arman was
declared Ms. Magnet and Ms. Harshita as Ms. Inventor. Ms. Ritika was declared
as Ms. Charming, Ms. Anamika as Ms. Glam, and Ms. Muskan as Ms. Elegant.
Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen and the organizers congratulated and crowned the
winners. The stage was conducted by Smt. Savita Mahendru, Dr. Sakshi Sharma,
Ms. Harpreet Kaur, Ms. Kanika Sharma and Mrs Rani Chandi and Students of
student council. Dr. Jatinder Kumar gave a vote of thanks to all at the end of
the event. On this occasion, the faculty members from Commerce, Science &
Computer Science departments were also present.
