The Commerce
Club of P.G. Department of Commerce and Management of Hans Raj Mahila Maha
Vidyalaya, under the aegis of HMV Skilled Courses Hub, organized a seminar on
the topic “Exploring the Career Trends in Banking, Finance, and Insurance
Sector” in collaboration with “Bajaj Finserv”, under the able guidance of
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen.The resource persons of the seminar were
Mr. Kanwaljit, Lead Trainer of Punjab Cluster of Bajaj Finserv Limited and Mrs.
Preeti Jain, the founder of AURA – The Finishing Edge,an internationally
certified Image Consultant, Coach, and Soft Skill Trainer. The session
began with the ‘DAV Gaan’. Green
greetings were presented to the resource persons by Mrs. Binoo
Gupta, Dean Student Welfare (Incharge, Commerce Club& HMV Skiled Courses Hub, and Co-coordinator of the
Course), Dr. Seema Khanna, Mrs. Shefali Kashyap
and
Mrs. Kanika Sharma. Mrs.Kanika formally
welcomed the resource persons and introduced
them. Mrs.Binoo Gupta gave introduction of the seminar and Bajaj Finserv CSR
initiative CPBFI course. She proudly announced that 211 students attended the
seminar and 79 studentshave already successfully completed the 100 hours CPBFI
course during the odd semester of 2024.
She encouraged
the students to engage, to enquire andto explore the vast expanse of
opportunities that lie before them by enrolling themselves with the upcoming batch of CPBFI. In the first session, Mr. Kanwaljit
highlighted about the skills required for being employable and told the students to have updated knowledge. He further
encouraged the students to develop the ability to take risks in order to have a successful career. He also
explained students about the importance of the CPBFI course and the various job
prospects along with the real picture
of the corporate world. He also emphasized on the need to become
“self-responsible.” Mrs. Meenu Kohli, Head, P.G. Department of Commerce and
Management, gave blessings to the students and motivated them to join the
course for their holistic development. She gave mantra is Self Love and
progress. In the second session, Mrs. Preeti Jain explained about the
importance of self-grooming. She motivated the students to reach their fullest
potential by focusing on what truly matters: impactful personal and
professional development. CPBFI previous batch
students Aditi, Manvi, Harshdeep Kaur ,Aarti
and
Gunjan of Bcom final shared their personal experience of seamless transition
and how they are benefitted by this course. The seminar concluded
&certificates were distributed to all the participants and special
appreciation letters were given to Student coordinators Dilpreet Kaur, Kris
Sondhi, Nitika and Baljeet Kour.
In the end New CPBFI Batch was Launched by Course Coordinator Mrs. Binoo Gupta
with Mrs. Shefali Kashyap and Mrs. Kanika
Sharma as incharges. Principal Prof Dr Mrs Ajay Sareen congratulated the teachers
and students on the successful completion of the seminar. She motivated
students to optimally utilise their time for professional growth. The session ended
with the vote of thanks by Mrs. Shefali Kashyap. She motivated the students to
register timely for new CPBFI Batch as online classes will start from first
week of February. Even HMV Alumnae can enroll for this course and get benefit
of Bajaj Finserv placement. Technical assistance was provided by Mr. Vidhu
Vohra and Mr. Arvind Chandi. On this occasion, Mrs. Anchal, Ms. Yagrika,
Ms. Ritu, Mrs. Preeti and
Mrs. Baljinder were also present. The seminar was successfully managed by the
commerce club office bearers, namely, Sakshi Vaid, Nazam Zafri,
Mohini, Jugnu Nisha, Tanisha Babbar, and Muskaan. The stage was successfully
conducted by Dilpreet Kaur and Kris Sondhi.
