Filling the atmosphere with verve and
vibes and students flaunting best of their attires, Freshers’ Party
‘Raunak-e-Aamad-2025’ was organized under the guidance of Principal Prof. Dr.
(Mrs.) Ajay Sareen for all the UG first year and PG first year students of
Humanities and Skilled Courses in the premises of Hans Raj Mahila Maha
Vidyalaya, Jalandhar. Mrs. Satinder, organizer of the event, welcomed Senior
most faculty member and Dean Youth Welfare Dr. Navroop, Staff and students. Dr.
Navroop inaugurated the event by lighting the holy lamp, followed by the DAV
Gaan. She motivated the students to study hard as per the standards of HMV, an
Institution with A++ grade. Further, she motivated the new students to attain
success through determined mind and by following the honest and true path in
life. She advised the students to inculcate cultural and moral values in their
life. She encouraged the students to complete their tasks timely and not to
linger on things along with maintaining regularity in studies. Principal Prof.
Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen gave best wishes to the new students. She stated that
HMV aims to make its students globally competent, empowered and good humans by
leading them towards excellence in academics as well as inculcating values and
ethics in them. She wished them best of health and luck for success in their
lives. Students participated in cultural events and made the environment
enthusiastic and full of zest. The event was marked with modeling, singing,
traditional dance and Punjabi Bhangra. Ms. Rashmi Sethi, Mrs. Renu, Ms.
Arvinder Kaur and Mrs. Anuradha acted the judges for the event. In the modeling
contest of UG Classes, Ms Pahul Jabal was declared Ms. HMV while Ms.
Sukhmanpreet and Ms Maan were given the title of
first and second runner up in UG modeling respectively. Ms. Nikita Kaura was declared as the Ms. HMV in modeling competition
from PG Classes, while Ms Simrandeep and Ms. Srishti Behl bagged the position
of first and second runner up in PG modeling. Ms. Devanshi was given the title
of Woman of Letters, Ms. Jasvir was declared Ms. Ethnic and Ms. Usha as Ms.
Cheerful. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen and the organizers congratulated and
crowned the winners. The overall incharges of the event were Dr. Neeru Bharti
Sharma, Mrs. Satinder Kaur and Dr. Baljinder Singh. The stage was conducted by students
of Student Council under the guidance of Mrs. Loveleen Kaur, Mrs. Protima
Mander and Dr. Mandeep Kaur. Dr. Baljinder Singh gave a vote of thanks to all
at the end of the event. On this occasion, Dr. Ashmeen Kaur, Coordinator IQAC,
Dr. Urvashi Mishra, Dean student council, Dr.Veena Arora, Incharge of NSS and
faculty members from Humanities and Skilled department were also present.
