Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar had the immense honour of welcoming Padma Shri
Agus Indra Udayana, a distinguished personality and a global citizen from
Gandhi Puri Ashram, Bali, Indonesia with whom HMV had signed an MoU. The other
honourable guests of the event were Ms. Cinta Savitri, Mr. Yuda Ramadika, Mr.
Arya Wijaka & Dr. Aman Sood, a Yoga Instructor, also a Guinness Book of
World Records holder from Bulgaria. The guests were warmly welcomed by Dr.
Ramnita Saini Sharda and Ms. Protima in traditional Indian style, with a silk
showl and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing knowledge and
enlightenment. The event began with a vibrant performance of the traditional
Balinese Le-gong dance through which Ms. Cinta Savitri shared a glimpse of
Indonesian culture with the students, setting a graceful and engaging tone for
the session. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Mrs. Ajay Sareen honoured the guest and Mrs.
Vaani Vij with green planters.
Padma Shri
Agus Indra Udayana was also presented Upanishads. Padma
Shri Agus Indra Udayana ji, a distinguished social activist from Indonesia,
addressed the students with an inspiring speech rooted in Gandhian values. A
life-long advocate of non-violence, truth, self-reliance, and peace, Mr.
Udayana has dedicated his life to promoting cross-cultural harmony and
community service. Through his cheerful words, he encouraged students to embody
the principles of Mahatma Gandhi in their daily lives and contribute
meaningfully to society. Following this, Dr. Aman Sood delivered an insightful
speech, emphasizing the importance of inner peace, yoga and meditation on the
occasion of World Health Day. The event also recognized the efforts of NSS volunteers,
who were awarded certificates by the esteemed guests as a token of
appreciation. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Mrs. Ajay Sareen thanked Shri Agus Indra
Udayana and their team for signing the MoU with HMV and promised to attend a
round table conference at their Ashram in Bali very soon. She also proposed to
sign an MoU with Dr. Aman Sood from Bulgaria. Ms. Cinta Savitri performed
Kathak performance symbolizing mutual respect and encouraged the students to
preserve their cultural heritage. The stage was conducted by Ms. Protima and
vote of thanks was given by Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda. On this occasion, Dr.
Navroop Kaur, Dr. Veena Arora, Dr. Jyoti Gogia and Ms. Harmanu were also
