The
Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized
a lecture on “Machine Learning & Ethics” under Faculty Lecture Series. The
PG Department of Punjabi organized this lecture and resource person was Dr.
Amarjit Singh Grewal, Advisor, Punjab Kala Parishad, Chandigarh. Senior Most
Faculty Dr. Navroop and Coordinator IQAC Dr. Ashmeen Kaur welcomed him with a
planter. Dr. Grewal addressed the participants and said that in this era of
Globalisaton, every single man is affected by AI. AI has made our life easy but
it has negatively affected the ethics. Present time man is totally
commercialized and we don’t think about our neighbourhood. AI has not only
affected our relations but the nature also. He talked about women empowerment
and said that only women have the power to change the world. We can reduce the
effect of AI with motherly love and care. We can get back the ethics with love
and cooperation. He also had an interactive session with the participants.
Stage was conducted by Dr. Sandeep Kaur. Vote of thanks was given by Mrs.
Protima Mander. All the teachers of the college were present there. Principal
Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said that in today’s world, ethics are really
important and in a noble profession like teaching, ethics hold a very high
place. This lecture was need of the hour. She appreciated the efforts of IQAC
and Punjabi Department.
