The
Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized
a seminar on “AI Enhancing Everyday life”. The resource person was Dr. Urvashi
Mishra, Associate Prof. in Comp. Sci. & IT. Senior Most Faculty Dr. Navroop
Kaur and IQAC Coordinator Dr. Ashmeen Kaur welcomed her with a planter. Dr.
Urvashi told that Artificial Intelligence is very old. It is not a new
technology. Concept of AI was given by John Mc Carthy in 1956. We all are using
AI in one way or the other. AI is being used in homes, as Voice Assistant, for
scheduling work and reminders, health and fitness, transportation, Customer
support, Finance & Shopping, Google Map, Robotic Surgery, Navigation,
Security, Entertainment, Video Games, Smart input keyboards, AI generated clip
arts and many more. She told that AI has made our life so easy in our routine
work. We can use smart lighting, security systems and even thermostat control
in our home through AI. We have Alexa as our voice assistant. The participants
came to know about various uses of AI. They were excited to get this useful
information. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said that IQAC of the
college always provide useful insights to the faculty. Stage was conducted by
