HMV Players got First Runners-up position in GNDU Overall General Sports Championship

The Sports Women of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar got First Runners Up Position in Guru Nanak Dev University Overall General Sports Championship (A) Division for the session 2017-18.  Players of HMV won All India Inter University and National level medals.  In Award ceremony organized at GNDU Amritsar, awards were given by chief guest Sh. Rahul Bhatnagar, IAS, Secretary Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India, New Delhi and Vice Chancellor of the university Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu.  Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen congratulated all the players of the college for this achievement. While addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Sareen, who is also President of GNDU Sports Committee (Women), advised the players to keep the values intact while playing and uphold the spirit of the nation.  She told that the college won winner position in 6 games, 2^nd  position in 20 games and 3^rd position in 6 games and 4^th position in 2 games. In addition, 39 players of our college were honoured with a cash prize of Rs.10 Lakhs 47 Thousand for their achievements at 48^th Annual Prize Distribution Function of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.  President DAVCMC Padamshree Dr. Punam Suri congratulated the winners over the phone and prayed to Almighty for their better future.  He conveyed his blessings to the students and encouraged them for still better performance in the coming session.  Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the players, HOD Physical Education Mrs. Sudershan Kang, DPE Ms. Harmeet Kaur, Sukhwinder Kaur, Baldeena and Coaches of all games and assured them of every help and support.

ਹੰਸ ਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਵਿਦਿਆਲਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਖਿਡਾਰਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ 2017-18 ਦੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਓਵਰਆਲ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਚੈਮਪੀਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਏ ਪੋਜੀਸ਼ਨ 'ਚ ਫਸਟ ਰਨਰ ਅਪ ਪੋਜ਼ੀਸ਼ਨ ਪਾਪਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਰੋਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।  ਐਚ.ਐਮ.ਵੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਖਿਡਾਰਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਆੱਲ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਇੰਟਰ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਲੈਵਲ ਮੈਡਲ ਵੀ ਪਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ।  ਅਵਾਰਡ ਸੈਰੇਮਨੀ 'ਚ ਬਤੌਰ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਯੂਥ ਅਫੇਯਰ ਏਂਡ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਆਈਏਐਸ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਭਟਨਾਗਰ ਤੇ ਉਪਕੁਲਪਤਿ ਡਾ. ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।  ਪ੍ਰਿ. ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਡਾ. ਅਜੇ ਸਰੀਨ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਖਿਡਾਰਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਡਾ. ਸਰੀਨ ਜੋਕਿ ਜੀਐਨਡੀਯੂ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੁਮੈਨ ਦੀ ਪਧਾਨ ਵੀ ਹੈ, ਨੇ ਖਿਡਾਰਣਾਂ ਨੂੰਸੰਬੋਧਿਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਖੇਡ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੈਤਿਕ ਮੁੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰਉੱਚਾ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਪੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ।  ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ 6 ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਨਰ ਪੋਜ਼ੀਸ਼ਨ, 20 ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੂਜੀ ਪੋਜ਼ਸ਼ਨ, 6 ਖੇਡਾਂ 'ਚ ਤੀਜੀ ਪੋਜ਼ੀਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ 2 ਖੇਡਾਂ 'ਚ ਚੌਥੀ ਪੋਜ਼ੀਸ਼ਨ ਪਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ।  ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ 39 ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰਜੀਐਨਡੀਯੂ ਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ 48 ਵੇਂ ਸਲਾਨਾ ਪਾਰਿਤੋਸ਼ਿਕ ਵਿਤਰਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਲ 10 ਲੱਖ 47 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਨਕਦ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਦੇਕੇ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਡੀਏਵੀ ਮੈਨੇਜਿੰਗ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪਧਾਨ ਪਦਮਸ਼ੀ ਡਾ. ਪੂਨਮ ਸੂਰੀ ਨੂੰਮੈਡਮ ਪਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਨੇ ਟੈਲੀਫੋਨ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਸਮਾਚਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਖਿਡਾਰਣਾਂ ਨੂੰਸ਼ੁਭਾਸ਼ੀਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਸਰਵਓਤਮ ਪਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਪੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਡੀਏਵੀ ਦੇ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਨੂੰਸਰਵਓਤਮ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਨੂੰਪੂਰਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਐਚਐਮਵੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਰੋਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਸਰੀਨ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਖਿਡਾਰਣਾਂ, ਸ਼ਰੀਰਿਕ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖੀ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸੁਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੰਗ, ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਈ. ਹਰਮੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਸੁਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ, ਬਲਦੀਨਾ ਖੋਖਰ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਚਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਗਰਵ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੈ।  ਉਨ•ਾਂ ਖਿਡਾਰਣਾਂ ਨੂੰਹਰ ਤਰ•ਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਵਿਧਾ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਆਸ਼ਵਾਸਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
