The Student
Council of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar observed the Martyrdom Day
of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi. Two minutes silence was observed in the
memory of those who gave their lives in the struggle for Nation's freedom.
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen Dean Student Council, Mrs. Urvashi
Mishra, along with Head Girls of the college paid tribute to Gandhi ji. On this
occasion, students of Music Vocal department recited the Bhajan ‘Raghupati
Raghav Raja Ram’. The members of Student Council were wearing Tricolor
Dupattas. Joint Head Girl Ms. Vanshika recited a poem. College Principal
encouraged the students to follow the path of Gandhi ji. She said that
satisfaction has no definition when it comes to work. But in context of our
needs and luxuries, we should be satisfied with less. The loss of Gandhi ji is
the loss of the whole world. We should try to follow his path. She also thanked
Dean Student Council Mrs. Urvashi Mishra for observing all the days in college.
The stage was conducted by Head Girl UG Ms. Parneet Kaur. On this occasion, all the members of teaching
and non-teaching staff were present there.
