India is heading towards
skill orientation of the youth. The future of the country will be in hands of
skilled youth. Keeping this in mind, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya is offering
so many skill oriented courses under Kaushal Kendra scheme of UGC. Principal
Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen told that HMV became the only college in North India
to offer Ph.D. in Multimedia and Design under NSQF. In addition to Ph.D., HMV
has got many other skilled courses under DDU Kaushal Kendra Scheme of UGC. It
includes M.Voc. Mental Health Counseling, B.Voc. in Management and
Entrepreneurship, Diploma in Communication Skills, Diploma in Applied Music and
Dance and Diploma in Cooking and Catering Management. These courses will start
from the session 2020-21. Principal Dr. Sareen told that HMV is already running
successfully so many B.Voc. and M.Voc. courses in college. These courses are
M.Voc. in Web Technology and Multimedia, Cosmetology and Wellness, B.Voc. in
Mental Health and Counselling, Journalism and Media, Fashion Technology,
Cosmetology and Wellness, Web Technology and Multimedia, Banking and Financial
Services, Yoga and Fitness, E-commerce and Digital Marketing. The college is
also running Diplomas and Advance Diplomas under community college. These are
Diploma in Medical Lab Technology, Tourism and Hospitality, Organic Farming,
Journalism and Media, Nanny and Elderly Health Care and Advance Diploma in
Fashion Designing. She told that the college has designed the syllabus of these
courses at par with the industry requirement. These are approved by the
university. The college has collaboration with industry as will with Media and
Entertainment Sector Skill Council for training of the students. Coordinator
Community College Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal told that in these courses, more
emphasis is given on practical work. These courses have multi entry and multi
exit facility with age no bar. If a lady/girl already working in a particular
field wants to upgrade her knowledge and get certification of sector skill
council, these courses are the right choice. The fee structure of these courses
is very nominal. The time table of diploma courses is very flexible. She said
that after these courses, a student can get a job even after graduation. These
skilled courses offer double benefit as a student will get degree from the
university along with certification of sector skill council which is globally
recognised. Principal Sareen said the college has dedicated and well qualified
faculty to cater to the needs of the students. All these things make HMV the
best place for skill oriented courses.
