HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School organised Inter
Class Gidha & Bhangra online competition on the occasion of Baisakhi under
the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The objective of
this competition was to sharpen the dancing skills of the students and to tell
them about our rich cultural heritage. Around 30 students participated in this
competition which were from Arts, Science and Commerce streams. The competition
was judged by Dr. Pooja Manhas, Dance Department. Km. Gurleen Kaur (Arts) got 1st
Prize, Km. Jaisika (Medical) got 2nd prize and Km. Jasmine got 3rd
prize.
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen
congratulated the winners. She gave her best wishes to all the faculty &
students for Baisakhi. She said that people from different parts of the country
celebrate this festival differently. Such competitions make us aware about our
culture and tradition. She said that our institution aims at holistic growth of
the students.
School Coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal said
that online platform is choosen to enhance the skills of the students because
of COVID-19. This institution aims at providing all the facilities & skills
to the students despite the scenario of panademic. She also congratulated the
winners.
