HMV Organised Competition Under Y-20 Summit

Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organised a declamation competition on “Shift
from Job Seekers to Self Employed, Entrepreneurs and Job Creators” under Y-20
Summit, as per the directives of Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth
Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. The
theme of the event was “Future of Work: Industry 4.0 Innovations & 21st
century. The students participated enthusiastically in the competition and
explained that how this shift is instrumental in making the country
self-reliant. They also threw light on support provided by the Govt. to be the
job creators. First prize was bagged by Manvi Sharma (BA Sem VI). Bracketed
second prize was bagged by Dilpreet Kaur (B.Com Sem II) and Aanchal (B.A Sem
IV) followed by Damini Sharma (BBA Sem II) and Jahnvi Jairath (BA Sem IV) who
bagged bracketed third prize. The judges of event were Mrs. Binoo Gupta, Dean
Student Welfare and Associate Professor PG Department of Commerce and
Management, Mrs. Loveleen Kaur, Assistant
Professor PG Department of English and Mrs. Protima Mander, Head, Department of
History. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and Dr. M.S. Bhatti, Professor,
Deptt. of Botanical & Environmental Sciences, GNDU, Amritsar congratulated
the winners and participants. Principal Dr. Sareen further appreciated the
efforts of Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports,
Govt. of India and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. She said that this is a
noble attempt to put the minds of young generation in right direction and helping
them to explore the ways of being independent. She appreciated the efforts of
event incharges, Dr. Minakshi Duggal Mehta, Assistant Professor PG Department
of Commerce and Management and Dr. Baljinder
Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology. Mr. Vidhu Vohra
also attended the event.
